I wish he'd stop with the stupid flicks and focus on getting into better positions for the three behind him.

His positioning is causing so many promising attacks to break down. Not getting into the box like he should be for some bizarre reason. Great ball in from Martial there a while ago and Ibra standing at the edge of the box.

What? Part of the reason we create is that Zlatan's dropping deep, and the reason he does it, well probably been told to do so you know. Lovely pass to Mata and much involved.

Yes, that's true to some extent. But at times he's just not getting involved, and when people are getting into good positions to put the ball into the box he's not making any effort to get in there. Witness the perfect ball from Martial across box a while ago, Ibra standing at edge of box watching.

Dropping so deep. Does he even realise if he's a striker? Martial could have got the second assist if he was in the right place to tap it in.

Really poor so far today, missed a couple of decent chances, given the ball away several times with sloppy passes, and repeatedly dropping too deep leaving the box empty - it'll never happen but I'd love to see Rashford playing through the middle in the 2nd half

Dogshit for the second week in a row. Not in the right positions and giving it away for fun.

He's been average today but 'dogshit' and 'two weeks in a row'? He was excellent vs Leicester.

Credit has to be given to Gomes for that point blank save. That's the kind of chance that would make you physically ill if we end up dropping points.

Extremely wasteful at times.

Also I wish he would just play as a #9 sometimes and not as a #10/#9 hybrid, that cross from Martial that went across their entire box is an example of where a #9 should be.

Saying this he will probably pop up with a goal in the second half now.

He drops deep, someone rushes forward in the space he leaves behind and it disrupts the backline which creates more space for players to work with. It's not hard to see. What's the problem? It's how he plays

I knew you would be in here. And dogshit last week? You still think so

Why? I've got no problem with Ibrahimovic. I'm just calling it as I see it. For the second week in a row he has been breaking down attacks due to poor first touches and wiffy passing.

Atrocious first half. He's constantly giving the ball away through his brick wall first touch and his sloppy passing.

Give Rashford a chance @ #9 please.

For once him missing a chance was actually a positive. Had he made contact for our goal it'd have been a chance wasted.

He needs to focus on scoring chances, not giving the ball away and being in the position to score chances before he decides to come deeper and become some kind of poor man's Ozil.

I find him really frustrating to watch. It's like knowing you can do a lot better and yet you're highly dependent on him at the same time.

Broke down a lot of attacks but as the game wore on he was more sharper but his finishing is still too hit and miss for my liking.

We definitely need a new forward in the summer. It will take us up a level.

True, especially that we have Mata who likes to run in behind defense, don't know why him dropping down upset so many people

Do you know why he's dropping deep? Because he's been fecking told to do, don't you think?

So he was told to be not in the box? He was told to drop deep if he can't get the ball but surely he shouldn't be lazy not to make run to the box when Valencia and Martial were about to cross the ball, don't you think?

I have no idea what situation you talk about, but calling him lazy today?! Weird as always in this thread.
He has been lazy with regard to getting into the box on quite a few occasions. I've no problem with him dropping deep so others can run in. But there are times when we're not even looking for that kind of ball, it's not on, and he's dropping deep. Then, the ball is going out wide, and him being our number 9, he's supposed to be the one getting in the box, and he's just standing around, not busting a gut to get in there and provide a threat, like he should be.

He just can't do anything wrong in your eyes, can he?
And he can't do anything right in yours  When he scored all the goals the only thing you could say was he was good. It must have been very hard for you to even write that. Im pro Ibra and i admit I am, you are so much against him.

Mate listen there's no need to invent and imagine stuff just because truth hurts you. Check my previous comments and you'll see that he gets credit when it's due, he gets slagged when due as well.

But seriously he can't do nothing wrong in your eyes.

And again bullshit, i even called few of his performances MOTM but it doesn't matter to you because you see only that you want to see.

Yeah one chance from Martial's cross, where Zlatan wasn't even there, could have easy tap in goal there. And Valencia made a good run when he was about to cross but decided not to because no one in the box. These are the problems.

Didn't get excited at all when he took Pogba's chance down. I think he's fluffed about 8 of those this season. Frustrating half but will probably pop up with a goal... (hopefully)

I guess you missed when Martial made a good cross but no one in there when Valencia made a great run and was about to cross but he stopped because no one in the box. Zlatan has been lazy to go back to the box many times after dropping so deep, Chicharito wouldn't be that lazy to run all the way from outside penalty area to penalty box.
We will find it difficult to score if no one in the box and rely too much on long shots.

A great flick for the Martial goal, but absolute rubbish otherwise. Get him off.

Find it hard to understand what he does that makes him undroppable, particularly when the other forwards get hooked off at the drop of a hat. Very much a poor man's rvn

I don't recall RvN playing for us at 35. If anything he would've been a poor man's Ibra.

I really dont understand people wanting him subbed off. He should play as much as possible. He is clearly good at managing himself..
