VAR, Refs and Linesmen | General Discussion

Don't think I've ever seen a two-footed foul from behind go unpunished before.
There are those who will cry conspiracy theorist but I suspect that PGMOL are reffing us unfairly because they are all men who grew up during United's dominant period.
Meanwhile Liverpool get a win by the CF who should have been sent off for violent conduct in our game.
Probably because of the 'Klopp video'.
No, surely just conspiracy theory that they are bent.

Craig Pawson was the VAR today, he has always been shocking against us.
Mind you, with the exception of Simon Hooper and Graham Scott (both from Swindon), they are all corrupt against United.

Seriously someone at MU has to speak up about these refs... I mean, look at this! Might not have choked him with actual force, but it's not to dissimilar to what Casemiro got a RC for.

I actually think something is in this. United were easily the most disliked club twenty years ago when these refs were growing up. The only people that didn’t dislike United is fans of the club, that can’t ref the games, of course.

Have said it before but will say it again. I am absolutely convinced some of this goes back to the Wolves game last season. Haven't seen such a media meltdown since. Refs are absolutely terrified of giving us anything at times because of they're afraid of a possible media pile on.

I just did a quick search to see if there was any articles about the missed red cards and the only article is The Sun outraged by the VAR overturning of the Brighton goal.

No doubt Monday night football will focus on that.

You actually can't make it up. This is the same, if not worse, as that Casemiro sending off.

If we're going to be glass half full this morning, at least all these poor referee performances aren't actually costing us anything in a season we are not playing for anything.

Just take me back to the days when it was possible the ref could miss stuff. With the all seeing eye in the sky watching every frame, if something blatantly obvious goes unpunished then it’s easy to see why some cry corruption etc.

I mean, Mike Dean said he didn't want to get involved in order to protect a mate. There's the Coote incident. A certain former referee who was happy to admit to throwing rules out the window for letting the match play out in a certain way

I long for men of learning, like David Ellory, to return as referees.
I guess they just pick those who are the biggest C*&ts now.
