Nunez one was a red all day, didn't even pretend to look at the ball and just batters De Ligt square in the jaw with his shoulder.

Van Dijk on Gordon v Newcastle. Nunez on De Ligt v United. How many more deliberate shoulders to the head are these pricks going to get away with this season?
Yeah that happens all the time as natural coming together, but I think even in real time you could tell Nunez does him deliberately. It was my initial reaction at least. Very lucky.Nunez was lucky. If he’s looking at the ball it comes across as accidental. He doesn’t take his eyes off of De Ligt though which points to it being deliberate.
If a red is shown it’s not getting overturned.
Even if VAR had recommended a review there is no way, no way at all, that Oliver would overturn his decision. Not for us.Hate oliver but he was okish…
Pen was clear… hard to tell with our claims with no replays
Lino was a wierdo
Nunez is a red card IMO but only VAR can overturn this call as it clearly shows intend
players have got sent off for far less and VAR has intervened for far less as well

For Darwin? If he goes in with that force, deliberately, with his boot into De ligt’s leg is it just a yellow?Yellow card for me is fine.

Happens in every box but is rarely penalised..
Oh look, example.

Orange it is, yes. A red would have been fine too, since it's such a cnuty move. But I won't complain too much about that yellow.Think it’s an orange but Oliver is never giving it as a red card. That’s precisely the problem with Oliver. 50/50 decisions never go our way with him in charge.
How can you think Oliver had a good game when he booked united players via letter of the law challenges yet let Mcallister away with a booking for his challenge on Bruno or Roberts away with the holding of Amad let alone the yellow card for a clean well timed tackle on Salah by MaguireYup. 100%. Coward’s challenge. Red card all day.
Mind you, I thought Oliver had a very good game overall. One in the eye for the conspiracy theorists.

If you compare it to our penalty against Spurs last year that he refused to give you would believe he is double standard.Hate oliver but he was okish…

He was fine, could’ve easily been a knob and booked Ugarte, generally maintained the flow of the game.
So where was the check for Konate handball from the corner then?Guys, let's not become a whiners like the Arsenal fans. Yes it is annoying most of the time losing the 50/50 situation, but both of them were not that clear and somehow debatable. Crying about referees is Arsenal patent and it's pathetic. Get over it.
Think they sacked Coote, mate.Anyone seen any lines yet?
The one angle isn't too conclusive but it is frustrating that VAR didn't seem to check it at all, would be interested to see a proper replay of it. That's on whoever the VAR was though not on Oliver.I was screaming at the tv for that and then no replay, no var check, no nothing.
And looking at that it’s a clear penalty.
Nunez was the clearest red you’ll see all year as well. Connected with de ligt’s face whilst not looking at the ball at all.
How in holy feck is that not a red?
Thanks for the reply I generally agree with you, but don't agree that he had a good game and think he was biased thought we also should have had a hand ball penalty. De ligt's was a penalty but we should have had more from the refI thought he had a good game because he made very few errors, didn’t give out too many soft cards and generally played his part in a cracking, high tempo, full blooded match.
Just like a player a referee won’t ever have a completely error free game. Nit picking about every tiny detail of a referee’s performance is so boring. Doubly so when wrapped up in conspiratorial nonsense.
There was no replay on sky, nobody mentioned anything and var didn’t check it.The one angle isn't too conclusive but it is frustrating that VAR didn't seem to check it at all, would be interested to see a proper replay of it. That's on whoever the VAR was though not on Oliver.
