VAR, Refs and Linesmen | General Discussion

What a fecking joke. Guess this is what it's gonna be now. We get a few decisions and clubs are gonna cry and file complaints about the reffing.

But it was a penalty and Bruno was closer to the ball than the GK and other defender was so it made Worall the last defender and denying a scoring opportunity . Both correct decisions which were literally the only decisions that went against them. They look like absolute cry babies.

So Utd get the correct decisions for once and the opponents think that's unacceptable? They've become so accustomed to us getting done over.

‘To say I didn’t send him over because he’s a mate is a farce’ he’s upset people are using his own quotes verbatim against him.The more he talks the worse he sounds.

He’s a fecking disgrace, and honestly every decision he’s made over his career should be under scrutiny.

FFS this is exactly what we all strongly suspected was and is going on. They're more interested in protecting each other than getting the decisions right. I know it's not an easy job but that's just cowardly.

I'd love for United to be super petty with the ref/VAR decisions. Every match make official complaints about every decision that went incorrectly against us. Lets make a show and dance about it if the media and the other clubs are trying to do that against us.

Honestly we should file a counter complaint otherwise teams are just going to do this every single time we beat them, especially shite like Forest who are just free wins.

Webb has essentially made that the default VAR decision now as well. "My mate on the field is right".

It's not even an in-the-moment human failing at that point, they've actually built it into the system. They're just beyond spineless.

I just had a quick look as I missed the end of the game, that looked like a big drive from Rashford.

It’s clear as day a penalty. He clips his back leg, which trips him.

wtf is the dude with the first tweet blind? Even in that clip you can clearly see the collision between the knees.

Every team and their fans think the refs have an agenda against them, and that they are being victimized. Amazing that. And boring as feck.

Do people on here really think that Utd have been harshly treated by refs over the first 3 games, on balance?

Liverpool player leaps like a salmon last week: literally nobody bats an eye.

United player gets one that's far more of a pen: inquest demanded.

This.

If you can’t see the anti United click bait focus, then you’re part of the delusion

Da feck are these clowns on about. Both correct decisions. Contact with Rashford isn’t ‘’massive” but those are literally always pens.
Steve cooper is like that though isn’t he. Didn’t he have a pop about us after the Maguire handball at forest. He’s ex Liverpool so has that anti United agenda deep in his scouse bastard soul:

Seen the replays as it’s hard to see at the ground.

Neither decision are errors. I wouldn’t go as far as to say that both are stonewall but they are both easily justifiable decisions within the rules.

Bruno was denied a goal scoring chance. Boly maybe ahead (though that maybe because Bruno was being fouled) but Bruno was pretty central on goal, it’s going t be a one on one chance so it’s not a wrong call.

Rashford was impeded, the defender steps across into Rashford’s path and makes contact around the knee/upper leg. I’ve seen a lot more clear cut fouls admittedly but it is a foul.

It was a great drive into the box, correct. Then taken out by the defender clipping his leg and a clear penalty. Nice to see you giving our best player some credit for a change.

We should lodge a complaint about teams trying to influence decisions against united by lodging complaints weekly for feck all.

Even clearer angle for anyone still doubting it

The amusing thing is that he fouls him twice. There’s knee to knee contact and then he kicks his foot as well for good measure. If Forest had got that penalty the focus would have been on how dumb our defender was to make the challenge.

Yep. If Forest get their way and recieve an apology we need to kick up a fuss and not just accept it like we usually do. The Beeb are already calling the two decisions "harsh" and every non United fan on the planet (internet) is saying that we're corrupt, and while it's funny to see it's also pissing me the feck off now.

at a point where people get so indignant that they share actual video evidence proving themselves wrong, as evidence that they are right.

It's the angle you cannot see if he hit him. His body is in the way, why would you look from behind?
Quit your gaslighting, we can all watch the same video. Just because you talk absolute nonsense doesn’t make it so.

It is sometimes best to not say anything. Otherwise you just prove that people were right long ago. He is not helping situation.

What he’s actually saying is worse. He seems to think people are annoyed because they’re friends and he’s looking after a friend. People are annoyed because of exactly what he’s admitting here. He’s saying the quiet bit out loud, he thinks his job as a VAR official isn’t to ensure the match is officiated correctly, it’s to “protect” his colleague and he’s prepared to ignore the rule book to do just that.

fecking exactly what people have suspected and the concerns we have all raised.
Exactly. Oh how he wish he never spoke of it.

It is just agenda. ABUism. We are all shocked that they actually gave us penalty when they have looked other way in the first two games where we should had 3 more. They did try with VAR which is funny because it is 100 % penalty. Again.
