UEFA Champions League Matchday 1 fixtures (18th - 19th Sep 2018) | Kick off @ 17:55 and 20:00 BST

Hell of a first touch that was from Kane though. Second not so much...

I'm a glass half full kinda guy.

Yeah, I can tell!!

I'm generally just honest about what I see, and this just isn't the Spurs I've enjoyed watching the last few seasons. Hopefully it is just a blip.

We'll lose that high press for sure. Henderson better not have one of his headless chicken games.

Good options on the bench to change it if we need to though.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen an assured performance from Henderson, I’m not convinced playing against PSG will change that, but I may be wrong.

Looking forward to the game, reckon it’ll be a lively one

Bit of a strange choice, would have been a good game for Fabinho to get some minutes. Dreadful midfield really.

You should still dominate the midfield, especially with Veratti out for PSG.

It's funny how Milner and Wijnaldum look like worse options in midfield when Henderson's there.

Sturridge will hopefully be up for it.

Klopp must be licking his lips with how open that PSG midfield looks. Luckily he's missing Firmino who's a key player in winning the ball high up the pitch.

PSG have a lazy Twitter person so here's the full line ups.

Tbf they weren't special in that game either. The scoreline massively flattered them.
Either way they looked slightly better than the 2 and a half games that have followed it. Early days though.

Shit. Firmino out is a fecking big blow, come on Sturridge don't make me have to beg a mod to remove your name from my profile.

Hahahahha what a weird goal.

Eriksen is class though ... someone else said earlier he looked a class above tonight, and that is absolutely right.

Camp nou must have the worst atmosphere of all top clubs. Cant believe there's 72,000 people there. I wouldve believed you if you said it's 7200.

Is this new kick-off times for the Champions League this season?

That’s exactly the problem especially in Wijnaldums case as he ends up plugging gaps and looking worse when he has the world balance of attributes alongside him. Fabinho and Keita should have started.

Spurs rest some key players, are playing crap and will still win this game going away, at Inter Milan. European football is fecked.

How many times has an Inter player passed a ball behind someone in a good position!?!?

What has happened to Fabinho? Has he been injured? Forgot you guys signed him
Nah needed integrating in to the system but klopps recent comments coupled with the fact we’re playing a familiar team to him seemed to be an ideal game to give him a debut. Maybe not.

 you are the type if your team got relegated you would simply move to another team which suits your needs.
Childish but not surprised

Let me clear things up, if you want to have a Fantasy European League then call it the European Clubs Cup not the Champions League which it is not.
Also as previously mentioned , in no way what so ever can it be right to let teams who get knocked out of the so called Champions League qualifiers or the Group Stages to jump straight into the Europa League Group stages or the knock out stages. That is simply done to pander to the bigger clubs and is a complete embarrassment to football and only serves to make the gap wider.
Again, matter of personal preference and there are benefits to smaller clubs. Smaller clubs who are knocked out of the UCL qualifying rounds (there are a lot of these teams) are still able to participate in Europe via the Europa league. Secondly, these rules you are emotional about weren't created to pander to the big clubs, it was made to bring quality to a competition that nobody was watching. Bigger clubs only started caring about the Europa league once they added to automatic qualification to the UCL for winners.

Greed is a major problem in life not only football.
Um ok...

Sad that a lot of "supporters " think the game is only about them and the BIG teams they follow.
Selfish in fact.
Yeah, that's it. The point is you're crying that the format of the UCL is ruining football when there is nothing to suggest that it has. It's merely your opinion masquerading as a fact.

I'm honest about what I see too mate, I just look for the positives more than you I think. We are doing pretty well considering how low in confidence we are.

That Inter team has the likes of Skriniar, Miranda, Perisic, Nainggolan and Icardi. That is a strong spine to have but they've started the season slow haven't they?

Second half we've been fine, but the first half was honestly horrible to watch.

On another note, Barcelona's full backs are wank. I have a feeling the likes of Bayern or Man City will destroy them in the knockout rounds.

It was never going to be great given our form. What's important is getting a result here and growing in some confidence. That's why I feel happy enough, you can't expect the team to surddenly start playing well given what's happened in the last two games. Doesn't work like that.

I guess that depends who you ask. We tend to overrate teams and players at times. Inter look like a very average PL side. No better then Everton.

Of course, I'm very much happy if we escape with a 1-0, I think we were very fortunate in the first half though, in terms of we are clearly not playing a team who can properly exploit us (ala Liverpool).
