UEFA Champions League Matchday 1 fixtures (18th - 19th Sep 2018) | Kick off @ 17:55 and 20:00 BST

Spurs are a quality side in poor form. Inter are just plain average. Nainggolan is such an overrated player.

Spurs should hook Lamela and get Lucas on. Haven’t seen much of what Lamela was meant to bring this half at all.

The good thing is Inter are a really crap football team. We've been dreadful and sloppy but they have offered absolutely nothing. If we can get back a semblance of our play from last season, we will win.

Psv is not completely without a chance. They had some chances on the counter.

Think we have done ok but look short of confidence which is leading to mistakes. Think we had the better of the half though and hopefully can get a goal.

Keep yapping about about your play from last season but the truth is Spurs are equally crap tonight.

According to Caf top class strikers are always lethal and never miss any way chances.

I thought ITV lost the rights years ago

Yeh, you're right I had a read online..... BT own the lot and will show the highlights on Youtube. I don't know if they will broadcast a whole aftermath/highlights programme but looks like Youtube will have separate matches or something close.

Is that the show where Roy Keane wears his specs alongside Lee Dixon and calls everyone a diving cnut?

Look's like we will no longer experience Roy and his positivity. :(

Nope, theres no rights for terrestrial tv.
CL football will become a clear second priority behind the EPL for English fans within the next decade imo.

I miss ITV not having the games. When the big games come up, means I don't have to go to a pub to watch the match.

Inter need to step it up, they have pressed alright but they just passing it aimlessly around mostly and throwing themselves to the floor. A 0-0 draw suits Spurs. Kane with a great chance, would have buried that without thinking last season.

It's not about doing what you want, it's about talking complete nonsense.

I have no idea what you mean by the term "fantasy football" in this context.
Man Utd v Real Madrid is still a big game in world football, just like any other match-up between clubs with a worldwide following. Not sure how you can state otherwise...
Giving a shit about footaball and money aren't mutually exclusive. Let's also not pretend you are arguing "for football". You just want to competition to be the way it was before, regardless of if making sense in modern times (ie. Bosman ruling, importance of TV contracts, etc), which is your opinion you are entitled to but by no means a position "for football".

These are just a bunch of straw man arguments for something that is simply a matter of preference

 you are the type if your team got relegated you would simply move to another team which suits your needs.

Let me clear things up, if you want to have a Fantasy European League then call it the European Clubs Cup not the Champions League which it is not.
Also as previously mentioned , in no way what so ever can it be right to let teams who get knocked out of the so called Champions League qualifiers or the Group Stages to jump straight into the Europa League Group stages or the knock out stages.

That is simply done to pander to the bigger clubs and is a complete embarrassment to football and only serves to make the gap wider.
Greed is a major problem in life not only football.
Sad that a lot of "supporters " think the game is only about them and the BIG teams they follow.
Selfish in fact.

True, but I feel like we have more potential to play well than Inter. That may simply be my bias though.

Of course it is. I really hate watching top sides play each other, so awful.

Much rather watch Krakow vs Copenhagen, or even Krakow losing 8-0 to Bayern. Fascinating stuff.

so football is for you, fair or not.

Eriksen is a class above everyone on the pitch, lovely player that should play on a bigger side.

See, I just can't describe this as an 'ok' performance, we just look nothing like what you know this squad is capable of.

We've been really poor. Really, really sloppy in possession, only managed to create one chance of note. We're playing against a team who aren't in form either and have also been poor, so thankfully our mistakes haven't really been punished, but we look equally average. It's a total crap fest at the moment, very low on quality.

I totally forgot half the games had already started.

Don't really hear these things with the CL being hidden away on BT.

I'm a glass half full kinda guy.

Henderson and Sturridge?

...oookkkaayyy. Good luck with that.
We'll lose that high press for sure. Henderson better not have one of his headless chicken games.

Good options on the bench to change it if we need to though.
