UEFA Champions League Matchday 1 fixtures (18th - 19th Sep 2018) | Kick off @ 17:55 and 20:00 BST

Donno why Lloris was the only one who was fined for drink driving. It seems like the whole team is drunk.

Ok, but football is not going back to that. I don't know why you keep talking about the past as if it's possible to return to that, it's a complete fantasy. The TV money and advantages the teams in the biggest leagues have now is far too great, regardless of CL money, interest is not going to return to the Scottish League. Nottingham Forest used to be a great team but that is likely never to come back, it's irrelevant at this point in terms of competing in the here and now. Football has changed irreversibly since those teams you mentioned were greats of the game.

As has already been said by a number of posters, the gap created is not solely down to the UEFA, and would not be reversed if they went back to the old system. The CL money would come nowhere near to bridging the gap. That's just the way football is now, plenty of people (like myself) actually enjoy this change, you don't .. that's fine.

Also, what isn't fair? CL teams dropping in to the EL has made it more competitive and added some bigger teams in to the mix.

there you go, everything that is wrong with the game.
Embarrassing stuff.

We really don't look sharp. Inter don't look anything special either, but our passing is (again) so poor and predictable, and we don't look at all confident.

Very early days obviously, hopefully we get in to our stride.

Of course it is. I really hate watching top sides play each other, so awful.

Much rather watch Krakow vs Copenhagen, or even Krakow losing 8-0 to Bayern. Fascinating stuff.

Yeah, I'm pretty sick of watching us pass to the other team whilst not even attempting any kind of risky passes, just sloppy shite.

Sort it the feck out.

It's a pretty stupid idea to open the Champions League straight after a league round with International games in between. That's six games in three weeks for the best players, breaking them down before the season has even started. Tottenham and their weak squad look tired already, not the same intensity at all when Eriksen and Kane are average.

You can do what you want, same as me.

This fantasy football is not for me, dont enjoy it at all.
Used to be Man Utd v. Real Madrid was a big game, now its just another game.
My gripe is with the TV companies and UEFA etc who do not give a shit about football, only money.
It's not about doing what you want, it's about talking complete nonsense.

I have no idea what you mean by the term "fantasy football" in this context.
Man Utd v Real Madrid is still a big game in world football, just like any other match-up between clubs with a worldwide following. Not sure how you can state otherwise...
Giving a shit about footaball and money aren't mutually exclusive. Let's also not pretend you are arguing "for football". You just want to competition to be the way it was before, regardless of if making sense in modern times (ie. Bosman ruling, importance of TV contracts, etc), which is your opinion you are entitled to but by no means a position "for football".

These are just a bunch of straw man arguments for something that is simply a matter of preference

Kane usually finishes those. He's bang out of form.

Peach of a ball from Eriksen though. We really need someone like him.

Arry why aren’t you hitting that with your left? Something weird happened, looked like once he’d rounded the keeper he could easily hit that with his left, there was a boy getting back on the line but who knows if he’d have stopped it.

Inter play a bit like United: sloppy passing, slow counter attacks right down and favour long balls
