Turns out we're a bit crap, anyone?

I saw a team play poorly, soak up the pressure and come away with a 1-0 win.

Now....what is it they say about champions and playing poorly?
No, You saw a team getting saved time and time again by their keeper against a bottom half team, something not remotely close to being able to win the league.

I let myself believe after the Liverpool game only for that to be inevitably shattered against Southampton.

Coming on the back of a game where we were terrible and were extremely lucky to win, we'll be lucky if we finish 5th never mind the title.

How many wins are we looking for to be pulling this off then?

8, 9 or all 10?

I suppose we are running into form at the right time and with a bit of winning when not playing well thrown into the mix, too.

It's literally never been more onner. 33/1 is like a licence to print money.

Not even sure about top 4 finish. "Consistency" isn't exactly the word to describe our season so far.

Not saying we're going to win it, but those assuming that the current top 4 are certain to all finish in the top 4 is just as daft as thinking that we're going to win the rest of our games.
Anything could happen and I predict that at least one if not two of the current top 4 will drop away, there are still 10 games left.

And the other point that annoys me is that just because it is an open race means the league is sub-standard, why???????????????. A sub-standard league is when you have one team 20 odd points in front of all the rest.

United aren't good enough to claw back the ten point gap between themselves and Leicester at the top although in this most extraordinary of seasons, you never know... a repeat of 1995-96 couldn't happen could it?

Has anyone got a list of remaining fixtures for all the top 6?

Title race? Not after that performance against Watford. Top 4 is a possibility. Imagine after how poor we were around Christmas we then went on to finish 4th, win the FA cup and the Europa League.. that'd be a dream

Hmm, city have quite a nice run.

Looking at Leicester's fixtures I think they'll get around 75-81 points. I can't see Arsenal, Spurs or City getting anywhere near that looking at their fixtures. The title is beyond us, away games are too hard but 2nd - 4th will be very close and is very much on.

No. We have too many games and too small a squad. Let's just concentrate on 4th. Anything else is a bonus considering the season we have had.

All I want is for us to beat Arsenal/City to the top 4. Really don't wanna be in the EL again next season.

In fact it'd be absolutely brilliant if one of those two finishes fourth and we win the EL this season  I'd fecking love that

They'd still get CL spot.

They would still get a CL spot. 4th only loses out if the winner of the CL is Chelsea.

Yeah that's why I was thinking it'd mean we nick the fourth spot. Since when has it been 5?

Although, if Chelsea win the champions league and we win Europa league we would take 4th places spot.

If we were in second place by 10 points I'd agree we have a chance. But four clubs ahead of us, forget it.

Fourth place, maybe even a cheeky third, however...

How do you concentrate on 4th? Win just enough games but make sure you lose the rest?
We go out to win every game, doesn't necessarily mean we win every game but who knows

We have blown similar or better leads in the past...

  • On 1 March 1998, Manchester United were 11 points ahead at the top of the Premiership and looked all set for a fifth title success in six seasons. One bookmaker even paid out on the punters who had bet on United winning the league. Arsenal went on to win it by a point.
  • On April 8 2012, with six matches remaining United were 8 points ahead of City and the title seemingly decided. However United, then faltered with a defeat and a draw in their next three games, while City won all three to narrow the gap to 3 points. City then beat United 1–0 at the Etihad Stadium to move back ahead of United on goal difference. We all know what happened here..
The first one gives me some hope :). I like it. I just hope United wins all its remaining games...

It's the hope that kills. We've had too many false downs this season so I'd sign now for 4th place.

To win the league we'll have to win at least 8 of our remaining 10 games (and winning all the games against our direct rivals) which obviously won't happen.

It's on.

Chelsea beating City in the CL final on pens after City finish 4th, following a EL win for us courtesy of a number of dubious off side goals
