Transfer Tweets - Manchester United - 2024/25

Anyone seen Dorgu play? I have no clue, never seen him.

If you believe the gossip - Garnacho to Napoli or Chelsea (surely we can't let him go to Chelsea), Rashford to Dortmund, Antony to Betis on loan.

Antony has already gone. Likely Garnacho will go to Napoli. Not sure where Rashford ends up.

Exactly. Plus Garnachos numbers are very impressive for a 20 year old. He's worth a lot more. Shit players like Havertz, Mudryk, Antony, Grealish went for a lot more.
You can't necessarily expect clubs to offer in line woth some of the worst signings in history

United should not even be considering selling Garnacho at all.
Unfortunately, we should.

Takeaway my opinion that I don’t rate him that highly, he just doesn’t fit our new system and we NEED to back Amorim 100%. Or can’t be half-hearted. There is literally no spot for Garnacho in the current guise.

If the price is right, I’d argue he NEEDS to go

That's the thing. I don't think it's Amorim that wants rid. I think we are selling him for purely financial reasons.

I like the fact that we have started to look at somewhat established premier league players, like Mbuemo and Cuhna. However, getting them will be a whole other thing.

What makes you think that? The manager never starts him, and has dropped him completely from the squad at one stage. There was also stories in the press about him disrespecting the manager.

Why are you so sure it’s a financial decision and against the managers wishes?

We are leaking goals, and the goalkeeper seems to be a big part of that.
Scoring goals is an essential part of winning, but not to receive tree goals per game is a big part of winning too.

The goalkeeper must be sorted too.

It's hard to know but when he went on loan last season he did say he hoped to make it at Utd. He's also only paid around 35k a week at Benfica so wouldn't be hard for us to double his wages.
Way too early for that IMO

And if the system ends up not being viable for us at the highest levels? What then? Transfer scramble?

From €35k a week? How many premier league footballers are signed for £20m and paid less than £50-60k?

Malacia earns £75k for context and he cost £13m.

So we could sell Malacia, double Fernandez’s wages and still save money.

Why just double it ? Lets quadruple it. We have good habits at this club.

Agreed. And I will keep banging the drum that we should sign Ramsdale from Southampton this summer after they get relegated. He is better than Onana in every area.
