Transfer Tweets - Manchester United - 2024/25

A real talent but doesn’t he have attitude problems? That would be the last thing we need right now.
Isn't he a bit troublesome?
Not anymore. He used to have them probably because he saw himself as a big fish in a small pond, but since then, he's resolved those issues, and he's seen as a more dedicated, professional player in the Lyon circles.

I don't like this aggregator, but they're the only one to post the key info, so:

This whole situation tells me that United are looking to sell Garnacho as they don't see him as a key player in the side. Selling him can help United bring in a left wing back as well as another forward who can better fit into one of the inside forward slots in Amorim's system.

You are the one using the word ‘Hysterical mess’ sounds very much like our new coach after the Brighton Game where he smashed up a TV!

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...en-Amorim-smashes-TV-Man-United-Brighton.html

This is the very definition of the Word ‘Hysterical’ ; I’ve never smashed up a TV in my life have you ?

Probably not, casting aspersions without having absolute proof, based on a few different lines of opinion to your own is indeed naive, so please reign in the rhetoric , I offer an alternative opinion, you don’t have to agree with it and nor does anyone else, I believe in giving all managers a chance , my point was and it’s clearly backed up by evidence of going to the stadium, the owners should not recruit a 3421 system coach and then expect him to turn this squad into 3421 system with superstar players, that’s not being hysterical that’s having an opinion based on watching the team eight times live under Amorim, and to be fair I never went to away games of City, Arsenal or LiverPool where the team actually turned up.

It’s important to remember in this day and age, we still have freedom of speech and we are all allowed to have different opinions.
 Absolutely bonkers. "Clearly backed by going to the stadium" what's that got to do with anything?! More nonsense.

Luke Shaw has been with the club 10 years, he had the worst injury any player could have with a double leg break in Holland, he’s clearly affected massively by this yet he has 2 Fa Cup Winners Medals, 2 Carabo cups, 2 Fa Cup Runners up, two Euro Nations runners up and EL winners and Runners up medal, he’s also got two PL runners up medals, there’s a lot of players retired who would be happy with that lot. I think it’s such a shame because Even at 75/80 percent he makes such a difference down the left to our team but yes some fans will disagree with that thought process and say we wasted £30m on him 10 years ago.
The stuff dreams are made of. Actually incredible, that we have a thread for Bruno and legend status and not for Luke, the keypass and runners up king.

I'd say we didn't waste 30m when we brought him in. We wasted a lot of time and wages in the blind hope he would become a reliable performer. Something he hasn't been in years.

Chelsea bought Mudryk for 100m…Garnacho and Mainoo would sell for 120m so easily if they played anywhere else.

United can fetch a very high price for Mainoo as they clearly don't want to let him go. Garnacho seems to be surplus to requirements for United, so they're more willing to compromise on him.

It looks like Lecce aren't keen on a winter transfer unless they get an offer that's too good to refuse. I think United were told by the player's agents about Dorgu's price, and that's what pushed them to making a deal this month. However, unless United give what Lecce are asking for, there's no way they can get Dorgu. I don't know if United have anyone else lined up after him, especially since he wasn't the first choice.

What kind of stupid reasoning is this? Napoli can do one on the garnacho transfer. Quote them 100m euros.

So Amorim behaved in an ‘hysterical’ way yes?
I didn't comment either way. I was just suggesting that I've not been overly happy with some of our displays this season, and if money was no object items may have been damaged during said performances.

I read that the TV in question was damaged during his gesticulations, and not necessarily with intent.

I wish I had thought of that explanation when I came close to taking out the tv a few times in my career - probably the closest was when Juve went 2-0 up in the infamous 2-3 game in 1999

"I was only gesticulating with the remote - it wasn't intentional". In fairness I have usually managed to restrain myself from taking out tv's - but I might have taken a few remotes out in my life

Lecce is only 1 point above the relegation zone at the moment. Seems odd that they'd sell one of their best players in the winter. For the same reason, I'd be surprised if the Wolves sold Ait-Nouri right now. It's worth £50M - £100M to not be relegated, and the price likely won't be much lower in the summer.

This is the one I’ve been waiting for every day. Questionable source of course, but he could either be our Hazard or our Taarabt, probably no in between with him, but for €22m it’s a dice I’m willing to roll.
