Transfer Tweets - Manchester United - 2024/25

This is the one I’ve been waiting for every day. Questionable source of course, but he could either be our Hazard or our Taarabt, probably no in between with him, but for €22m it’s a dice I’m willing to roll.
What type of player is he?

Is this the guy who the club owner called a "little arsehole"

A Taarabt type would be infuriating but would have some value. I fear he would be our (new) Obertan. He really just hasn't kicked on from his huge promise

No way, have you seen his technical ablitity ?

His floor is Taarabt/Ben Arfa. His ceiling is best player in the world. For his price he'd be a brilliant signing.

Only person who's pushed him out is Ruben. Lads not on a massive wage, so INEOS would probably prefer the Manager gets him to work.
I'd honestly say Garnacho has been off since that incident with that turd from United Stand and the fans giving him flack online.
The same Amorim who said he wanted to keep him? Same Amorim starts/ plays Garmacho every game?

Come on…we are broke and the only asssest of value and appeal is Garnacho.

We are a selling club. feck the Glazers and Ineos.

I would take peak Ben Arfa right now

Not buying any striker appart a false one who scored 10 goals in Italy and think you’ll score goals with the one you have is one of the dumbest decision I’ve seen.
Our main striker scored 2 in the league…that’s a worst record then teams who´ll get relegated.

The early season saw an attempt to play Zirkzee dropping off with Rashford & Garnacho running in behind. The ball got played into Zirkzee back to Bruno who would play them through. This was actually somewhat successful but coincided with us missing a raft of big chances.

Honestly I’ve come around to selling Garnacho. We might actually be selling him at a good time.

His reputation is still high but I’m not seeing anything in his game which will take him to the elite level. Before anyone shouts ‘yeah but that overhead goal’ he’d hardly be the first average player to score a worldie.

I’m mainly concerned though that he doesn’t seem to have the pace to beat players and is delivery is lacking as well. Other than cutting inside across the box to shoot he seems to lack much threat at all.

It's nowhere near you guys paying £120 mil for Antony though.

I don’t know if you are trolling but Antony cost £80.75m plus £4.25m in potential add ons which I think it’s safe to say haven't been achieved. So a max fee of £80.75m but what’s an extra 50% between friends.

Mudryk similarly had a much lower base fee of £62m with a further £26.5m in potential add ons which I imagine have also mostly not been achieved.

Both are shit deals with Antony being somewhat more shit at the moment though with Mudryks potential ban it could even things up.

This kid is a proper wing-back?
Yeah, he's a proper attacking wing back. His attacking abilities are his strengths, which has resulted in him playing as a winger often this season. There's a slight chance that he gets so good on the attack that he becomes a winger like Jeremie Frimpong.

This, I believe this is right time to sell him. I doubt his value will ever be higher than currently just by looking at his skillset. I believe we need attackers with different skillset from Ganarcho and Rashford if we are to be a top team again. We need more technical players with high football IQ and good in tight spaces. I like Ganarcho, but he is not a top talent like what people want us to believe. I also believe there is more to this than just pure football. Probably things like attitude has been factored in just by looking at his brother social media activities.

Same Amorim who says he wants Marcus to stay, same Amorim who says if players perform in training they’ll be in the squad, same Amorim who played Antony in the last match. Kid hasn’t looked happy for months.
Yes we need to sell, that’s a commonly known issue. Feck the debt, the reckless spending and the people that contributed to it.

Who is Sam Amorim? Does Ruben have a brother?

Big Sam in the dugout at Old Trafford at last.

Where do people come up with this kind of stuff? We're broke?

We had the fifth highest net transfer spend in the world this summer (third highest gross), as INEOS and Berrada spent ~£100M net on Yoro/MDL/Zirkzee/Ugarte. Source: https://www.transfermarkt.us/statistik/einnahmenausgaben

We've reliably spent £100M-£150M nearly every summer for many years now, and you can bet dollars to donuts another big summer is coming in 2025. PSR means you can't spend unlimited, but you're kidding yourself if you think we aren't going to add some more £40M+ signings by August.

It’s a fair offer. You just know in the summer he will end up at Napoli for less than £20m. I cannot understand the selling clubs at times.
I'd imagine they think he's going to help keep them in Serie A which would be worth a lot more than £7m no?

Really busy aren't we.
But yeah why should we with all these convincing performances. If that Dorgu guy is the only one we are after this window God help us.

I agree with the notion that we usually get fleeced, but surely it's obvious why they demand more in January, being in a relegation fight than in summer

Its also now difficult for them to replace him. Why do we appear to have left it late ein the window?

I know there is a logo

Where do i start...psr is an execuse. Cash flow, outstadning player payments are the problem

The thing is you cannot into a season with players that don’t score goals. Hojlund, Rashford, Garnacho didn’t score a lot the season before. So, I don’t know what they were expecting but it was wishfull thinking at best.

Napoli bidding €50m for Garnacho is horrible. You just got €75m for Kvara. Pay up, you cnuts.

It's their opening bid according to the next tweet after your post. You'd have to think they have room to increase it. Buy-back option and sell on clause should definitely be included in any deal which we seem to be doing with the young players we sell now.

Kvara is better but quite a bit older and wanted out. It's not a direct comparison

Exactly. Plus Garnachos numbers are very impressive for a 20 year old. He's worth a lot more. Shit players like Havertz, Mudryk, Antony, Grealish went for a lot more.

When Conte is pushing for a player, he usually gets him. It was the same with Lukaku when he pulled him out from United to go to Inter. The same type of deal, with few lowball offers, and they ended up paying 74 million euros.

Change euros to pounds and there is a conversation to be had. There’s no way in hell we should be selling him for any less.
