Transfer Tweets - Manchester United - 2024/25

Why don't we just pay the 40, like we always do, because they aren't going to take less. Or walk away.
It's hardly like he's going to transform our season, young bloke, first time in prem league, new country etc. I'd say we'll end up paying 30 plus bonuses. Our other targets aren't available, that's why we're negotiating.

But Lecce haven't moved €1 from their original asking price. That's not negotiation, that's take it or leave it.

Maybe about how the deal is structured, big difference between £40m up front, £25m + £15m achievable add ons, £40m paid £20m up front £20m in instalments, walking away gives us the option of presenting the payment options

40 million euros (about 33 million pounds)

I doubt that any club would pay £40 million for him.

Very rare for a transfer to be done upfront in cash. Almost all are in installments these days; I doubt that's a negotiating point.

Typically in most negotiations the price of both parties comes to a compromise. So I imagine we are looking for a discount off the initial ask.

Also it's €40M, not £.

Tier 2:

Dortmund are hoping for United to become more desperate to offload the player and reduce their demands.

If we sell to Chelsea, I think i might need to find another sport. I couldn't ever support a different football team than United, so a new sport would get me around that.

Edit: just to be clear this is not because I am saying I would need to switch to Chelsea, just that I would feel like I am done with Manchester United and it's utter incompetence.

It’s not good to sell him, obviously, but it’s only a player. We move on.

Bit dramatic, no?

We won't sell to Chelsea but our negotiatiors should have a picture of mason mount stapled to their hand going into any meetings. Thats the context any deal would have to happen in.

Thanks for the edit clearing that up, you almost sounded like a complete and utter drama queen.

He may not fit our current system, but he's still one of the world's most highly regarded u21s. 70million starting point and then down from there would be daylight robbery.
