Transfer Tweets - Manchester United - 2024/25

I suspect Rashford may secure a loan deal by deadline, probably to a club he hasn't been linked to yet and at a lower level than the clubs he wants.
Which would probably lead to us covering most of his high wages and so in effect now paying him to play for someone else!

Would be a poor attempt at offloading him - the kind we've been achieving pre-INEOS. I'm hoping, considering this isn't a new development and they've had a long time to work on it, that they'll come out with a better scenario than that this window. Though it's not looking promising.

We're paying him anyway so I think it's in everyone's best interest he actually plays the remainder of this season. So likely will result in a hit, but the contract we handed him deserves that hit.

Only so much negotiating can achieve when a player is hugely overpaid and a cast out

True. That all makes it very tricky.

I was hopeful that we'd got the kind of people in place that would help us start improving our ability to offload our unwanted players for decent fees as some other clubs seem to manage better - whereas we've just tended to have to give them away for low fees, or they've hung around and seen out their contracts.

We sold a few younger ones for acceptable fees in the summer, but this window we're struggling to offload any of the unwanted senior ones and might end up having to sell another youngster, Garnacho, instead.

£50m for a 17 year old??

I've personally never watched 1 single minute of him, so no idea how big of a talent he is. Only heard about him since Amorim came to us. Is he really that good?

The source isn't the best, but I can very well see it happening. Quenda is a top, top prospect and will improve us on the right.

He is like a young Bukayo Saka. I'm all for this transfer.

No way he'll be sold for that 'little', right?
I suppose it depends on his contract situation, him being a youth team product and potentially any favourable clauses they can get in a deal.

He will have two years left on his contract in the summer.

Dalot is still only 25, can play either side, and provides a more defensive option if needed. He can also likely play one of the outside 3 CBs.

If we got rid we'd need yet another signing to replace, it's better he stays for now.
