TBH I do not see him or Wheatley ever being Utd 1st team players, both could come in and do a job, but neither have the X-factor a top striker needs, even a bench striker, maybe jumping the gun but both Biancheri and Chidi-Obi look miles better, would rather give a bench slot to them, I would put Biancheri as more ready at this time he is 18, Chidi-Obi maybe has a higher ceiling but is still raw he is only just turned 17 but reckon by next season he will have matured a lot.Couple of league one loans for him now that haven’t really worked out. Dropping down a league there and hopefully gets some starts.
Based on his loans, difficult to see him getting a chance here even with our strikers unable to hit a barn door.
They can only register 2 new non-EU players per season, Kvara leaving doesn't affect that. Garnacho having dual nationality means it's not relevant for him, but explains why there's no Rashford to Napoli rumours. It’s per season but Kvara leaving may have freed up a slot because Georgia isn’t an EU country.
I was going to say £100mSpecial price for Chelsea. £80m
Chelsea can get stuffed.
Whats the latest with Nypan? It looks like some of the media are saying Arsenal are favourites now and we're not in for him any more.
Tier 2:
Well, we'll never do a loan deal for Antony then. You're absolutely nuts if you think ANYBODY is going to sign up to pay Antony £200k a week on a loan. Nobody is that stupid. We probably need to pay at least half his wages or let him ride the bench here. Then no deal.
In terms of United transfers, is there a bigger bust than Antony for the amount paid as compared to the return on investment?Well, we'll never do a loan deal for Antony then. Ah yes. Another Ten Hag special.Mount is a much bigger waste of money. £55m and he's played less than 1200 mins for the club with 1 goal and 1 assist in that time.
I think Casemiro was worse, personally. While Casemiro at least contributed for a year, the thinking behind his transfer was worse. In terms of United transfers, is there a bigger bust than Antony for the amount paid as compared to the return on investment?
Valutaion was one of the Decepticons, so he'd cost a pretty penny.Wonder what our Valutaion was?
Not saying they need to pay everything but they need to pay a significant amount for it to be worth our while. At least half. Otherwise, we're better off just keeping him on the bench till the end of his contract. He can have a decent impact once every 10 games.Well, we'll never do a loan deal for Antony then. Antony was at least a promising player who didn't pan out. It happens all across sports. Casemiro is paid almost double Antony (£350k vs £200k) and as a 30 year old incomer, was targeted 4-5 years too late. There was almost no way it would ever have made any sense, and it's the most basic sports management to not target someone so far past their peak, let alone for one of the highest salaries in the world.
Casemiro is reportedly the 3rd highest paid player in the Premier League, making as much as Mo Salah. Antony is the 20th highest paid.
For anyone who follows basketball, I'd compare Casemiro to the Nets trading for KG and Paul Pierce. Great players, but way past their prime. Similarly disastrous.
Leaves us with a pretty dire squad given rashford and casemiro appear to be out in the cold. If PSR isn't actually an issue surely we could do something without shifting themAin't nothing gonna happen it seems
Sad times
So what do we think? Is this club going to hang Amorim out to dry for the rest if the season? Doesn't look like we are going to do anything this window.
Thats what happens when you sign bad players to bad contracts on prohibitive salaries. We're stuck unfortunately. So what do we think? Is this club going to hang Amorim out to dry for the rest if the season? Doesn't look like we are going to do anything this window.
I dunno. At this point I don’t see us getting relegated and I don’t see us earning a Europa League Place. So, I don’t think management sees the urgency in bringing in new players for which we might have to overpay unless it’s with a view to next season. So what do we think?
