Transfer Tweets - Manchester United - 2024/25

The Mainoo thing is clearly the agent trying to get a payrise and it'll likely happen year end.

But it's INEOS fault and they want to cash in.. apparently.. hmm..

I doubt Zirkzee would leave and there is a chance we make do without replacing Casemiro as it is so difficult to bring in a quality player during January window. Alternatively, we could explore a stop gap solution like we did with Amrabat earlier.
29 January 2020 we signed Bruno, who has been our best player ever since -- and by some distance. Yes, it can be difficult, but we did it once we can do it again.

Are we throwing the baby out with the bath water now. Getting fecking ridiculous
Jamie Jackson (hates us), Chris Wheeler from The Mail (would sell his Mum for a quid), a few vague “Mainoos agents allegedly” stories and some guy called Sam C who has lots of followers.

Modern social media … you can say pretty much anything, especially if it involves us, and it’s “news”. Clickbait 101.

So the information he has is that nobody in the squad is untouchable and everyone has a price and he's spun into an article focusing on these three.

Manchester United will listen to serious offers for any of Ruben Amorim’s squad, including Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Højlund, who were previously deemed untouchable.

United are not actively seeking to offload the trio

Dont be so fickle. There is a good chance that this is just strategic ambiguity. Remember the days of SAF, no player was above the team so nobody was assured of anything. That isn't a bad thing.

Have a vague recollection of Henrik Larsson on loan, Mata, Saha, Vidic and Evra as well...oh yes and Amad. If anything our transfers in january (the big transfers - not the youngster-transfers) have generally been a much bigger success than our summer transfers.

The only real misses we made in january were Zaha and a certain Alexis Sanchez.

Amad was signed in summer if I remember correctly

Remember the quote from Alex Ferguson in 2001? "There's nobody at this club who we wouldnt listen to if an offer comes in." That was Stam, Beckham, Keane, Scholes, Giggs, Van Nistelrooy, Cole, Solksjaer, Neville, and the rest of the players. Listening to offers and putting players up for sale is completely different.

Wouldnt call Zaha a January signing. It was a January agreement, not a January signing.

And article goes on to add “Offers will also be considered for Yoro, De Ligt and Ugarte”.

Yeah, the three players ‘Ineos’ have just bought, one persuaded to join us over Real Madrid, are up for sale.

The Michael Oliver of journalism.

Urgh grim news.

Not because it's true and will happen, just that we're so mismanaged that we even have to worry about PSR considering our historic revenue generation. Spunked SO much cash on utter bollocks over the years.

Ironically, I can see us not selling anyone until the summer.

Yeah….. this is all bollocks

Yeah….. this is all bollocks

All this screams click bait bollocks, we will not be selling core players that we wouldn't be able to afford to replace.

Say we sold Mainoo, Nacho & Hojlund for 200m, we'd realistically only have 150m to replace them, it's, not, happening...

Yeah….. this is all bollocks

2 weeks ago it was that mazraoui was Ratcliffe model for future signings, now hes for the chop. None of these journalists are serious people, they're glorified podcasters now, clinging to their jobs with more stylish looking click bait

Also we want to build a young squad, so saying we will sell any of the young players we have doesn't make sense does it.

I don’t think we’ll sell Mainoo for a second.

But honestly if we did, I think that would be me done. It just wouldn’t be the same club I grew up supporting anymore.

You saying that may sound dramatic, but I had the exact same response when I saw the rumour earlier, especially after seeing the Kath tributes and thinking of the longstanding staff that have been let go and had benefits cut.

If we sell Garnacho and Mainoo it just destroys a big chunk of United's identity that I, and many others, are proud of. Hopefully it's bullshit.
