Wonder what club we've got lined up for him

I’d say going up a level.

Rashford will do well in Germany or Italy but what then? Another Sancho situation

Are the Nuno Mendez links real? The dude is top notch and would be another coup from PSG, he revolutionise our left side. I wonder who they are going to sign to replace him though? It seems like he’s not going to sign a new deal there so the price of about 40-45 seems fairly decent and realistic.. De Ligt, Maz, Ugarte and this fella all around the 45 and under mark is good business for players who instantly improve the squad and can hit the ground running. All world class potential too.

This love in for Maguire is bizarre. He's been directly at fault for multiple goals in just our last 3 games. Despite being terrible this season, Martinez has played significantly better over 3 game periods than Maguire over the previous 2 seasons. Mazraoui played really well at cb in Amorim's system before being shifted out to wing back where he's been rubbish since. De Ligt's been inconsistent but still better than Maguire.

Maguire is absolutely not our best centre back, and it's another example of us throwing money away by renewing a big contract player who isn't worth their wage. People on here will then moan why no team will buy our big wage players, like they did with Martial.

The same people heralding Maguire as apparently our best cb were the same people trying to hound him out of the club a year ago. Back then, his decision to refuse to move was universally criticised, and now it's being used as an example of what Rashford should have done to justify criticism of him for wanting to leave (when everyone was asking for us to sell him anyway). I remember the sentiment towards Maguire a year ago very clearly because I was one of probably 3 people here actually defending his right to stay while under contract. Just as then, my criticism isn't towards Maguire himself here, it's towards the continuity of our inept decision makers at the club.
What a load of bollocks.

A Rashford loan is the best we can expect I would imagine, unless he is open to Saudi. Hopefully get some sort of a fee and he plays well enough to secure a transfer in the summer. He is done here.

Yeah, so what? According to Capology, £190k ties Maguire for 5th highest pay in the Premier League amongst CBs, behind only John Stones, VVD, Fofana, and De Ligt.

You think he's anywhere near that good? He's getting paid as much as Saliba for reference, and more than guys like Guehi, Konate, Gabriel, Dias, etc.

It's a waste of resources on a fairly ordinary player, and you can replace him with nearly anyone for that kind of money.
I would only have VVD of those you've listed over Maguire.

There really is some weird under-rating of Maguire by United supporters.

He doesn’t seem to fit the system and he’s already had issues with the manager. I’d say they are being mentioned together so Garnacho can’t say he’s being pushed out but I’d imagine we’d sell for the right money 100%. Hes not on huge wages yet either. These are the kinds of hard calls we’ve failed to make over the years and just shrugged and given a massive deal.
What problems has Kobbie had with Amorim?

This must have knocked him down a peg, no one wants him. Just loans, hence the news that he may stay. Sorry mate, do not want!!

Maguire over Saliba, Ruben Dias, Konate, Gabriel?

This. Have people forgot how terrible he was during a long time, so bad that he rightfully was number 4-5 in pecking order. I still don't rate him and has no place in as a starter in a top team, which we aren't now though...

I'm sure the Sancho loan helped when selling him to Chelsea for a few million.

If the other options are only Italy then I can see some logic in letting Rashford find his form in Germany, and then sell in the summer.

ANYONE but Borussia Dortmund. Unless they cover 100% of the wages.

I would support Dortmund - no club can make good players look brilliant so fast as Dortmund. This way we have a much bigger chance of selling him for big money in the summer

Remember when Dortmund was hyping up Sancho during the loan spell and putting subtle digs at us on social media? Feck them
They either pay up the full wage or they can feck off

Atleast his best mate can tell him good things about Dortmund and the move can happen swiftly.

OK, maybe not Saliba, but the others I would, especially in a back three.
Did you just say you would take Maguire over Gabriel? The Gabriel at Arsenal? The one that scores loads of goals? A CB for the team thats let in the least number of goals this season so far, at 18?

I'd say the money men of clubs around Europe have a proper good laugh at our expense when they meet up for their Christmas drinks each year.

Nobody is unsellable, especially with the dreadful management of money over the past decade. The manager has said we need to sell to buy. I am sure we are not considering selling Mainoo this month but if Chelsea did come in with a crazy bid we would have to invite them to the table. Rashford won't command a big fee so the bean counters will likely need to look towards Garnacho and / or Mainoo. The club has been dreadfully run.

Has this person got things right before?
They've never given me a tip. They don't care much for football, but they are a fund manager and often meet these types. They were at a work do and spoke with a CFO of a football agency who said Chelsea will test United in the summer behind the scenes for 100m (he said it may not be a public bid).

I laughed it off but now I am starting to believe it

Yes please. Discounting the United red-tinted talent markup, 100M is good money for his level.

Its an absurd level of money for his level and if Chelsea are fool enough to offer that we should take it before they come to their senses.
