Its been floating around for a while. Think the idea is as cover for saka and probably isn't a terrible idea in that context. Hard to get a good quality player to sit on the bench 90% of the time.

They completely fecked it whereas we rectified our position somewhat with Sancho. Even if he's not in ETH's plans, the stance was a bit more flexible than he could feature if he trains and performs well.

Do you expect ten Hag to play him at such short notice even if he is available? I’d be surprised if he makes the bench to be honest, especially against Liverpool.
