Tosic - Gone. To CSKA

According to the Russian sports website Sports.ru, Tosic has joined CSKA Moscow in an 8-million-pound deal.

CSKA aren't going to demand around £12 mill for Krasic and then spend two thirds of that on Tosic, especially not after Cologne revealed that our asking price is 5 mill. Not a chance. How reliable is this site?

No one knows his individual fee. All we know is that the combined deal for him and Ljajic was £17 mill. Anyone's guess what Tosic cost individually. £7~£8mill probably.

Thanks for that, lets hope the bigger part of the fee was due for Ljajic and that we only paid a small proportion for Tosic.

I think we should see how he does in the world cup and take uit from there

It's so easy to make up these transfer stories during the world cup because no deal can be completed during the world cup, so papers can run with the old "the two clubs have agreed a fee" line over and over again, safe in the knowledge that it can't be proved as BS until the world cup finishes.

What makes you think of that? Krasic may be bound to Shitty/Juventus with Tosic seen as his replacement. That doesn't mean that Krasic will end up at OT.

Hoe I knew of all the posters that have commented you would quote me? Your seriously acting like a damn child..

Just FYI this is what I was talking about..

P.S Can you stop trolling around me now?

Krasic only has a year left on his contract and we don't know if the story about us demanding £5m from Cologne is accurate.

Was he on the bench today? I was surprised he didnt get on, especially as Krasic was poor and that left winger was gash.

Manchester United winger Zoran Tosic set for to snub Cologne for £8m CSKA Moscow

Manchester United winger Zoran Tosic is to join CSKA Moscow in an £8m deal after snubbing a move to Cologne.

The 23-year-old Serb had been on loan at Cologne from United but will go to Russia after the World Cup.

Cologne director Michael Meier said: 'We made him an offer to stay.

'But the sums of money put before him make it hard for any German club to compete.'

Bah.... that is all.

IF that's true, that's great money for someone who doesn't even play in the Carling Cup.

Yeah but he's good enough for the champions league and at least 39 premiership games a season.

Just give him a chance.

I'm not writing him off.

My gut instinct is that he's not good enough for us, though he probably is for the Premier League.

But SAF doesn't seem to rate him, so what's the point in having a well-paid sub who your manager doesn't seem to rate?

8m for someone who can't get a game for United is too good to turn down.

We would lose feck all in terms of squad depth by losing him as Fergie clearly prefers Obertan and we have Valencia, Nani, Park, and Giggs as the first choice players in any event.

If the rumour has any validity in it, he is probably off.

Its decent money, but are we in need of the funds that badly that a decent offer gets our players? Sure he's done feck all for us but if we keep him around another season he will make a contribution. And if we sell him we need to find a replacement, and £8 million isnt going to get you a lot right now. I hope we turn it down as a Benitez success story (signing a player and then selling for a slightly higher price) should not be our priority.

That's fine, except we have to sell 1 or 2 players to make the 25. And that's without getting anyone else.
So who would you sell before Tosic, and you'll need a couple at least?

Fergie didn't test him that much, so we don't even know much about his actual progress.

I saw him in friendly against Poland. He came from the bench, made a few turns with the ball, crossed it and... that's it. Needs full 90 minutes, badly.

Give him a chance ? No problem... if can wait to the US Tour or Carling Cup, next season.

I guess the names of Krasic and Ben Arfa will be all over the papers linked with a move to us over teh next few weeks if this is true!!

Would be a good deal if it were true. As much as I'd want to see him get a chance, he hasn't won over Fergie, for whatever reason. If moving to CSKA will get his club career back on track, then he deserves his chance there.

He's played 30 minutes first team football in 18 months, that's hardly irreplaceable.

Don't think...just accept the 8 million. He's never going to get a chance at OT. That much was clear. Might as well spend the money on someone else....that Elia kid looks pretty handy against the Danes. ;)

i want him to stay on and get a chance .. mostly because i havent seen enough of him at united to form any opinion

8m is a lot of money .. i find it hard to believe

Unfortunately for him at this stage, unlike last season, it isn't simply a matter of let him stay and see how he does.

With the squad cap, and with us already over that limit, if he stays then it's in the place of someone else, and I'm hard pressed to see who he deserves to be in front of

6 million for foster, 8 million for tosic - thats paid for hernandez and smallings left foot

Will be interesting to see what SAF says about Tosic when he does go i.e. why he signed him in the first place!
