Tosic - Gone. To CSKA

Will be interesting to see what SAF says about Tosic when he does go i.e. why he signed him in the first place!

I might be wrong but maybe the club was attempting to sign promising players and then resell them at a higher price after they are "branded" MU players. Maybe Tosic was such an experiment, otherwise i still cannot think why he was signed

Thats exactly what it was. Buy them, sell em for a profit. Its a win-win situation, either he does well for the club, or we sell him for a profit, simple; football is a business these days. Cant believe people were wanking over this shite.

Apparantly Fergie's Gordon Gekko now.

Zoran Tosic will snub a move to FC Koeln and join CSKA Moscow from Manchester United instead, according to a report from The Daily Mail.

The Serbian winger spent the second half of last season on loan with the German outfit, where he impressed and was apparently made an offer to sign a permanent deal.

"We made him an offer to stay," Koeln director Michael Meier said.

"But the sums of money put before him make it hard for any German club to compete."

The 23-year-old is expected to complete his move to Russia once the World Cup is over.

Nothing official. But as the saying goes, where there's smoke there's a fire.

Shame he wasn't really given much of a chance here. Hope he does well at his new club.

Good luck to him.

From what I'd seen of him, I shared the SAF's view that he wasn't good enough for us, but hopefully we'll both be proven wrong.

oh well ..
all the best zozza tozza
hope he has a great time at ciska

GOOD. We've nearly broke even with our transfer money now!! So... we still have nearly £80m to spend??

Well so much for that

apparently we made a profit

signed him for under 7m , sold him for 8+ 0.5m euros loan fee from cologne

not a disaster financially , but i was excited when we had signed him .. i really wanted him to make it at united .. a left footed winger  :(

When the feck did we become an ebay shop buying low cost players making a tidy profit and then selling them on.

What good would him proving to be good enough for United do for the club if he's playing elsewhere?

What do you mean 'good'?

He seems an decent lad, so I hope he proves himself to be a better player than we've given him credit for.

It puts the signing of any youngsters into perspective (Obertan,Diouf,Smalling,Hernandez,Anderson,Fabio). If half of them were to become regulars at United then it's a success

i might be wrong but...

could it be that we never wanted to sign ljajic in the first place, but we only agree to sign him in order to get tosic at a discounted fee.
then we pulled out of the ljajic deal and sold tosic at a profit.

i know it sounds classless but with the glazers around everything is possible...

 at the photo, they're like a pair of competition winners. They got a tour, a pic with SAF and a free shirt out of it

Aye, complete and utter embarrassment that whole debacle.

We're starting to look like the key stone cops of the transfer market. Need to bring in one quality signing this Summer to remind everyone we're still here.

What a fecking drama queen you are. Grow up kid.

poor kids, the look like a pair of glory hunters...

i honestly feel sorry for them, although some might argue that things did not turn out so badly for them considering that they found two foreign relatively richer clubs (than their club of origin)

Still, this story will not help fergie next time he tries to sign another promising youngster
