Happy for him. Deserves a start. You just know when he's playing he's going to be a pain in the nads for the opposition. Boy gets around and works his socks off.

Love it.

Big night for him, he looks a bit bigger since his earlier cameos and by all accounts has the engine for it. also seemed unphased coming on in a tough game down to 10 at emirates. I hope he takes his chance

Man Utd 2:1 Rangers New
A very good option in midfield, played well, couple of errors but overall very decent and could save us needing a midfielder when casamiro goes

He can use the ball pretty well just wish he would show start showing more confidence going forward with it

Bad mistake early which could have led to a goal, but I did like how quickly he looked to move it as the game progressed, seems to be better playing the pass from left to right.

Got potential there a Ugarte back up with a relatively similar game.

Tidy on the ball. The confidence will come with regards to him progressing the ball forward more.

Was really good. Covered a lot of ground, and they got into the game after he went off.

In comparison to the others it's very notable how big/strong his running looks on the tele.

Apart form that, it's hard to judge him against a poor Scottish side tbh.

Kept the ball well but only moved it sideways. Probably unwilling to takes risks and/or maybe instructed by Amorim to keep it simple.

Opposition were shit though.

If he plays regularly for the remainder of this season then we might have a better idea of his potential at this level.

Decent game given the state of the Team and this is his first Senior start, his passing was decent than I thought it would be.I like his athletism too.

He was fortunate to get away with poor error early on but after that I thought he did pretty well, hopefully keeps getting some opportunities.

Really good performance, very good athlete, good technically, and has good football IQ.

Passing is really crisp. Two loose passes that I can recall all game, but great other than that. He seems to have a really mature head on his shoulders, very impressive considering he's had barely any professional minutes under his belt.

Man of the match for me today.

Amorim really needs to play him and Ugarte together in the league at home to shore us up. We need results at home in the league quite desperately.

I’ve been really impressed by his performances over these last few matches. Great engine on him, surprisingly fast and seems to have a great temperament. Looking forward to seeing more of him.

My thinking as well. He could play lot of minutes in second part of the season, especially given that Casemiro isn't getting any minutes atm.

I am glad that Collyer has started to pass forward more. He has the capability. Just needs to get his confidence up.

It wasn't Fernando Redondo out there but it was encouraging considering his relative lack of experience. Seemed more in tune to the game than the player that replaced him, which says a bit.

Definitely the best I saw from him today, seemed to hide less and be more brave on the ball.

One bad mistake losing the ball with a poor touch in a defensive area and one poor pass straight into an interceptor, other than that was fine but didnt win the ball a great deal with 2 interceptions and 0 tackles, 1 foul

And Mainoo could play in a more attacking role then, I think that suits him well.

Played very well and was positionally disciplined. Night and day to how he played under Ten Hag which was all over the place and disjointed and taking up ridiculous positions even when he was supposed to be the deepest midfielder. This leads me to believe that he was following Ten Hag's instructions.

Not a game where he illustrate that he has to start. But he is 21 years old. It is the correct thing to focus on him instead of Casemiro. We do not have much to play for in the league. Use him when ever possible (minimum 10 games until end of season) then we should have a way better indication of whether he is able to grow into a team player for the future, then we have one less midfield player to invest in, or if we should sell him in summer, which should be doable and profitable given age, contract, salary and the fact that by then he would have min 15 games for United on his CV...

Played well after the almost costly mistake. Think he's going to be a good option for us.

We've only got three at the club and one can't run.
Four at least (Ugarte, Collyer, Casemiro, Mainoo) based on who has played the role. You could add Eriksen to it as well.

But yeah, the options are slim. Hope we play Collyer more though. Even with his inexperience he seems like the best option.
