Fergie isn't infallible. We might like to think so, but he isn't. What he is is incrdibly stubborn.

I'd love to see a poll of United supporters on what system we should use. And who should play.</strong><hr></blockquote>

but by saying that, you're implying that we(face it, we're nobodies when it comes to football tactics, we're just observers) might know more than a guy who's probably the greatest ever manager from Britain...

Strange comment that, because you seem to think that yourself and Pearson are both redder than the 7 times league title winner, ECWC winner, EC winner, 4 times FA Cup winner, ESC winner, ICC winner, etc.

Wierd!</strong><hr></blockquote>
I don't think Redness comes into it, which is what I was mocking. Talk of how different MUTV presenters and ex-players are more or less Red than each other is absurd imo. Whether or not a tactic or purchase is right or wrong has nothing to do with Redness.

In fact, if it wasn't for SAF, probably far fewer of us would be here.

You brought the reddness thing up.

"He was in good condition. He was really prepared in his mind and was ready for that game. He showed no fear.

"It was good to see them being involved in training and afterwards we saw in the game in Cyprus that they are good enough to play for United.

"It is amazing that some of them were playing Champions League football at the age of 18 and I think they enjoyed that a lot."

And Alex Ferguson said:
"Kieran is a brave little lad and showed that with the goal he scored.

"He put his head among the boots and bodies and can be very pleased with himself.

"He enjoyed the experience and showed he has the temperament to handle the big occasion."</strong><hr></blockquote>

you are such a dick

you said he must be good cuz hes made his debut so young

then i said that doesnt make him a the next giggs example davis,o'kane

then you come out with a load of quotes

richarson is a good player but not a patch on giggs at the same age

but you have seen him on MUTV for the stiffs so you know everything

its easy to knock tactics..or look for scapegoats when things aren't working.... but in reality, its more complex than any of us give it credit...

I'm saying we've a right to an opinion. And Fergie isn't always right.

Not knocking his past achievements for one minute - but if the players can lose hunger, or lose ability, or whatever - so can the manager. I'm not saying he has, but I don't like double standards, and they are being applied here all the time.

Where did that spring from???

What I really want is a poll of 70,000+ supporters.

can't knock SAF, history will prove he's been more right than wrong...and i think he'll do it again...

I don't think he's lost the hunger. But I think he's developed a Maggie Thatcher type stance, where he is never wrong, and will never change. He's too stubborn imo for the good of Manchester United.

I think that Neil has gone round the bloody twist. What is all that supposed to mean? Are you trying to make a point? <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

But that is what I tried to say before, he is almost Manchester United. Without him there would hardly be a Manchester United as we all know it.

Having said all that tho - I can't imagine anyone else in charge.

He's like an infuriating dad. One who can embarrasses the hell out of you as well as make your life a misery with his rules.
But you still love him. :)

look he's always been stubborn! thats his ethos..which has got him and US quite far ;)

and he's ALWAYS made mistakes, but he's human afterall...

btw, when u mean 'for good of man united', are u implying its best that he leaves?

i am sure he'll prove everyone WRONG again.. just like he did in 95...when he sold three of our stars...

God no. Just wish he was less stubborn and would treat all the players the same. And wouldn't throw a tantrum when someone like Stuart Pearson offers an opinion that differs to his.

You're the one who thinks of fans in terms of Redness, as I've shown. And I think its crazy to say such a thing about someone like Stuart Pearson or someone who's managed to get a job on MUTV as they obviously have a great affection and devotion for United.

he and busby are manchester united..

without him, we would be challenging siddy for bottom spot each year. :o

he'll never do that!!

kanchelskis got treated badly.. as have others after him.

but hey, thats him...and he's been a kinda successful over the years, with his ways. ;)

"Working under Jock was like taking an honours degree in management".

What a class thing for a class manager to say!

SAF is GOD.

well he is in Manchester <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> :D <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

;)

I'm going to watch the match again.

So goodnight Giggzy, goodnight Weaste, goodnight Neil, goodnight Ruddy - goodnight JohnBoy......

I reckon winning the Treble had nothing at all to do with SAF, it was that zip that Umbro put on the shirt that did it.

Was in a boy band too. Bad Boys Inc.

Night.

Nice how Neil very rarely answers any serious questions put towards him isn't it, despite his endless hours of analysis?
