My perfect Manutd
GK I really rate Barthez, but I don’t think that he is the right guy to lead our young backline. I would prefer a charismatic keeper that sticks to his place and leads our defense (Schmicke type rather than having a controversial keeper whose ideas confuses his rivals and his allies alike. I would opt for Toldo, Cudicini or Landreau while giving more opportunity to Ricardo and Carroll
RB It’s my opinion O Shea should be the regular player in this position. He got pace, technique and power to lead solidly the full back. On the long run he should play along to Rio but I think he is too inexperienced to play in the heart of the defense. G Neville and Brown should be given a fair share of first team oportunities while I cannot see any place for P Neville.
CB With the departure of Blanc, Manutd will need an experienced world class defender that would lead our young backline. Ayala fits the price and will be free for next season. This will give us the time needed to examine who will be the best future partner ( G Neville, O Shea, Brown, Kaladze and Silvestre)
LB The left back is the weakest department in our defense. Yes Mikeal is good but apart him I cannot see anyone who can take up the challenge. I would bring in Kaladze for the job. He’s young, experienced solid and can play equally well in lots of positions ( D DM LC) Another player who deserve a first team run is Paul Tierney
RW Beckham is world class and SHOULD REMAIN IN THE TEAM. Yet I am not convinced of his cover Luke Chadwick. My idea is to bring a young but brilliant talent who would accept to sit on the bench. Someone like Castroman, Van der Vaart or Queresima.
LW The left flank situation is different. Giggs remains a first teamer but I would give more space to Djordic and Q Fortune (with competition coming from Queresima or Castroman) Richardson should be loaned to Royal Antwerp
AM No one deserve this role more than Paul Scholes. He is hardworking, talented and his communication with the forward line is fantastic. Veron should be sold. With Ronaldinho and with Beckham free from his winger’s role Manutd will have the cover needed.
FC Ronaldinho creative, classy and unpredictable Ronaldinho would be RVN perfect partner. Also he can play equally well as LW and AM C. Forlan is his able cover.
STK Having RVN and OGS we have the most dangerous strikers in the EPL.
