The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

It was in front of CSU party members, we have the election campaign gaining speed but nevertheless:

Interesting. Presumably she's now a lot more confident on that front after Macron won. Especially since her own polling figures are improving again.

So, she is leaning toward Macron and wants a bigger bond between notably France, Germany and Benelux?
Bear in mind that she said the above at a campaign event in Bavaria where bold bullshit level claims are not just accepted but expected.

She rarely did it in the past though. I'm also not sure if she has a clear plan how to proceed from there, perhaps with three exceptions:
  1. She wants to strengthen the EU, i.e. the partnership with France/Macron.
  2. She's aware that she must give Macron (and others) something that can be regarded as a compromise from her end.
  3. She's for a common EU defense, something UK politicians have blocked for years.

I've been reading through some of those tweets but I can't figure out what exactly it has to do with veterans?
Only thing it has to do with veterans is that USAA is a veterans' financial institution like Navy Federal (which I saw mentioned in some of the replies).

Me too, I just wanted the UK to be a part of it. :(:(:(
I'm convinced history goes in waves. There will be a time when die hard Brexiteers are either dead or so poor they won't oppose closer bonds in Europe anymore; the polls in young British man and woman (15-25 yo IIRC) are very pro EU.
And there will be a time when not just a majority of responsible US voters across the country are anti-Trump but also an anti-Trump majority in the electoral college.
And I'm convinced we'll be both alive to witness it!

There is so many good pictures... :D

So, basically...go away on holiday for a couple of weeks, come back, and hope everyone's forgotten everything?

That's exactly how I read it too. It's insane, but to be honest, none of them have seen any type of punishment and the news cycles spin so fast you cant keep up. EDIT! Meh, @senorgregster got there first, by fecking seconds too.

A million other things would happen by then so it may just work!

Aye, it's been quite successful for them to be fair. When I think back on Trump's run, and even stuff from a few months ago, a lot of it either seems like distant history or can be easily forgotten...even when it's something that wouldn't be forgotten in the case of any other candidate.

The funny thing though is that the original intent was to suck Germany into Russian influence.

Ironically, it is the US who is, not Germany.

But what will happen to the peace process in Israel/Palestine that Kushner is supposed to bring?
What will happen to the innovation committee he is steering?
What will happen to the gazillions of other tasks that this genius is overseeing, driving, developing and implementing?

:wenger:

Exactly, and with hundreds of positions still to be filled you have to think it will catch up with Trump and his Government soon. The country could literally go to shit while everything gets neglected except the rich getting richer and a few coal mines doing ok.

I've been with USAA since 1999ish. They were originally created as an US military officers only financial institution and grew to allow enlisted members, family members of military members past and present, and veterans. It's now a massive player in the financial sector, one of the largest in the world. Also employs a significant amount of current/former military members and family members of.

Are you a veteran or related to veterans? Have been hearing good things about them and I wanted to see if I can join, but I'm non-resident immigrant :nervous::nervous:

But what will happen without his liberal influence?

Will Drumpf pivot back? 'cos he pivoted once, right? We were told he was pivoting, yea?

 He's pivoted so much they have had to come up with new directions for the compass.

Sadly we're in the 'friends' list, aren't we?

Sadly, yes I think we are. :(
