Appears the apple doesn't fall far from her shit-talking snake oil salesman father.

She's a disgrace and has been for years. Awful on Fox and like her Father, you can see she sincerely believes the shit she is peddling. She's just so desperate to be in the public eye and in Trumps fold that she will do anything and she's now become the new fall guy (gal) to lie and try to defend everything to the press.

As mad as Comey made me during the election, I can honestly say I believe he was trying to do the right thing. Did he make mistakes? Yes. But I honestly think he is an honest guy who tried to do an honest job.

I agree, he does appear to be an honest guy. I feel sorry for him because he was in a no win situation. I just hope that he has taken this so well because he has an ace up his sleeve. A bit like when Ritter fecks over Harrison Ford in Clear and Present Danger, Comey has that get out of jail free card and drops it all on Trump and does so with a smile on his face as he calmly leaves the room taking his integrity and respect with him.

WSJ, so not sure Trump can easily wave away as fake news.

Agree but that one mistake has or at least will have grave consequences at some point.

The way I thought about it this AM was that at the very least Comey was convincing and consistent in playing someone honest and that genuinely struggled with the Hillary decision, even if one disagrees with the decision he came to.

And because I'm usually skeptical that someone can be that good an actor, I give him credit for actually being that person.

Conspiracy theories gone wild about Ze Russians planting bugs in the Oval Office, but to be fair, who can blame them? Ze Russians for taking up the opportunity and the people for thinking bugs are being planted. How the feck can Trump allow this shit to happen? It's beyond comprehension that the day after firing the head of the FBI obviously because he had asked for more funding and manpower to help in the Russian investigation, and because Trump wasn't happy about his testimony last week, that he then has private meetings with Ze Russians in the Oval Office and bars any US media/news channel from sitting in on the meeting but allows Ze Russian TV company (if they even were all TV staff) to have exclusive full and private access.

 I'm lost for words right now, this is just taking the piss, corruption and ineptitude on an unprecedented scale.

 He called the BBC fake news so I think he will dismiss any outlet that disses him.

You wonder why he had to meet with the Russians so quickly... No you don't.

If they ever had it in the first place, the GOP and therefore the US as a whole have lost the moral highground on anything related to democracy.

If these events were happening anywhere else in the world, the GOP would be the first to thrash these administrations or countries, verbally or in the long run militarily. Never have hypocrisy, egoism, greed and an open contempt for the ordinary people been so blatantly obvious than with this administration.

Sadly, every hour this fraud of a presidency has been going is a God-given gift for dictators, autocrats, hate preachers, ISIS etc.

Unless people stand up in huge numbers, nobody will stop Twitler and the GOP bringing democracy further down, but I'm not convinced this will happen anytime soon.

It isn't about right or wrong anymore for some of the Drumpfsters.. it's about their side winning and maybe even more about making sure that the other side loses. According to the stuff I've been reading it seems as if the nr.1 priority right now is making sure that Hillary goes to jail and nr.2 is that the left should shut up about Russia because there's obviously no evidence. I don't want to sound too naive but I never thought that so many people could be so fecking stupid. It's not even party over country, it's literally party over themselves, but they are too stupid to understand that..

It was really refreshing seeing that Joe Walsh guy though, he proved that you can actually support Trump but still be sceptical of what he's doing.

I think this is the root of the problem. Sure the Dems are no angels either, and especially the liberal media in the US does put a spin on things, not as bad as Fox and co who are outright fabricating stories, but still.

Partisan politics in the US has become so bad that it seem they would rater have the country burn than seeing the other side governing it effectively. After eight years of Obama the GOP where so desperate to get to power they would do anything to grab it, and here are the results.

I read an interesting article (linked somewhere on reddit i think, cant find it again) where the author claimed that this kind of upheaval in US politics was inevitable as the discontent with Washington among the people and the animosity between the two parties was so high that it reached a critical point and something extraordinary had to happen. Unfortunately it ended up being Trump, where it might had been Sanders had he been the one running.

A thing to keep in mind is that the GOP never really wanted Trump in the first place, but took him anyway in sheer desperation and this is the result. On the bright side it might release some tension in US politics and that incompetent clown and his cronies are sure to make a solid dent in the GOP reputation for some time to come

According to three panelists on CNN (Dana Bash, Maggie Haberman, Jeff Zeleny) Twitler got very upset while watching Comey's hearings on TV and decided to pull the trigger. Also, he apparently knew that Comey questioned him behind closed doors (behind his back) as close to being crazy. (Every sober person under the sun would do that.) One person close to Twitler described him as having been 'white hot'.

They also stated that only a small number of people with little administrative experience were involved in the ultimate decision to fire Comey. Apparently they genuinely thought it wouldn't be a big deal and wouldn't get big attention.

He thinks it's like firing an employee... what's the big deal?!

My guess: Trump will fire Sean Spicer to change the subject.

Motive: "not doing a good job" (e.g. with respect to the Holocaust comment).

Which brings me to Sessions:

He as the one who 'recommended' (cough, cough) firing Comey was part of that inner circle. If he seriously thought they'd quietly get away with it, the guy is not just arrogant, hypocritical and racist: He's severely deluded.
If Priebus was part of the group, same verdict: Utterly delusional.

I think the decision was done by Trump. Thats how a small company businessman act -- its a dictatorship. The rest like Old Jeff are either executional, support staff or part of the process.

Nah that's too tame. To properly distract people from the shit storm going on now, he'd have to do something huge.

I honestly, seriously pray that he doesn't actually start a war.

It's obvious what happened here. The cabal decided to fire him before they could figure out the excuse. They now decided to throw the seemingly most impartial member of the administration in front of the wolves.
It's also quite obvious, Sessions hasn't recused himself from the investigation. I wouldn't be surprised if he's one of the individuals that have been subpoenaed.

Actually woke up in the middle of the night with that thought. Just how far will Trump go if it gets close to impeachment/prison?
