The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

I know quite a few Trump supporters. They are basically run of the mill Republicans who were tired of losing Presidential elections and wanted at all costs to ensure Hillary didn't win. She was more of a motivator to vote Trump than Trump himself was. That's what happens when you nominate someone with her baggage and have the party elites attempt to coronate the nominee through super delegates.
Yea I didn't get behind any of them but I was more weary of Hillary and her gang of criminals and criminal entities disguised as humanitarians and the worlds gift to children being set loose on the planet with the presidential seal of approval, talk about horrors. Trump and his rhetoric will be scrutinized for better or worse, and that's good.

I can't be arsed because the narrative seems to be ignoring the decades long rap sheet of the Clintons/DNC in favor of discussing the potential dangers of Trumps rhetoric and supporters.
That's what happens when you ignore a discussion that's been going on for well over a year. Plenty of criticism of Clinton during the primaries.

The fact that people are literally crying and supporting those crying for her defeat shows that the criticism got no where near the truth. Otherwise the hysteria would have ended on election night. But I also know that some of those causing chaos are being paid by outside forces so I'm not too bothered by the whole thing.

Well that's much better.

I don't know much about him, other than the fact he was lauded for a time for mayoral spell at New York. So will he be a voice of sanity? And if so, why's he lurched so far into the Trump camp?

My post was somewhat snarky. He's better than Bolton, who would probably declare war on the Moon given a chance, but that's about the extent of praise you can have for the appointment.

Yeah...I got that, of course. Just hopeful that we'll see a couple of moderately sane voices thrown in there.

That word is doing a lot of work in that sentence

He does get lauded. From what I can tell it was for getting rid of crime in NYC at similar rates to what others were doing in other inner cities at the same time and for wearing a mask on 911 in front of cameras and doing the minimum of what nearly any human would do under those circumstances. Beyond that Ive not seen anything particularly laudable. He's now a very very very angry old white man. I don't think he's sure what he is angry about. I would not be surprised if hes diagnosed with something soon.

Now Jeff Sessions being mentioned for either Defence or Attorney General...

This cabinet is really the legion of doom. The one thing Jeff Sessions is known for is wanting to build a wall on the Mexican border.
Half expecting Ted Cruz for the Supreme Court at this point.

That name worries the hell out of me as well. But, it is not going to look as bad for Trump since she is a Democrat. But, education is one of the issues that I strongly disagree with the mainstream Democrats and Republicans on.

I'm not a fan,so I was ignoring it... but I saw the link again and just read Michael Moore's reasons why he thought Trump would win..

He pretty much nailed it.
Might not be as much of a buffoon as I thought he was.

In fairness I think he also played a major role in breaking the back of the New York mafia in the 1980s through pioneering the use of the RICO act - ultimately he got the top brass of the five families locked up and the mob hasn't been the same since.

I'd probably debate the use of 'fascist' as these days it is used mostly as an insult by people who have little idea of what fascism really is but they heard somebody use it at a protest in the '60s and it sounded true, man. Otherwise, it seems to be spot on.

By all accounts, defining a fascist is actually quite tricky. Umberto Eco tried to come up with some criteria. Trump fulfils most of them.
