Did Fox News Lead Trump to Believe There Was a Terror Attack in Sweden?
http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slat..._to_believe_there_was_a_terror_attack_in.html

Just add it to the list of countries he's upset now. He's an embarrassment, and as shown yet again yesterday he's got to be a nightmare for the Secret Service, just inviting people up on stage at will. You could see their faces, they just didn't know what to do. At the same time he's tweeting about the "Southern White House" which last week was called the "Winter White House" and so far it's cost more to look after Trump for 3 weeks than it did Obama for a whole year! That's not including the estimated $500k a week to look after his wife in NYC.

Yet again this is where bewilderment steps in for me. How the feck can he be allowed to get away with it? Why is nobody saying or doing anything about it? And at this rate, just off the top of my head, at the rate he has cost the country so far, he will cost the USA around $300 MILLION! per year! so $1.2 BILLION over his 4 year term, just in extra Secret Service protection and accommodating him on his countrywide escapades. That's not including the rest of the family, and the estimated $80k it cost when his son Eric went away the other week.

He's just on one giant jolly all paid for by the taxpayer, and as you saw yesterday, his supporters love him. However, watching yesterday was frightening because the crowd were terrifying, they were wound up to fever pitch and you could sense an almost tribal atmosphere coming though from the rally. The completely needless and pointless rally might I add, just one to stroke his ego. If he's going to hold these all the time then they really need to be protested fully and properly.

He's a pathological liar. It's pretty impressive how easily he lies. Doesn't care if it can be easily proven or not. Just goes for it every time.

I wrote yesterday that I'd like to see a credible source running a website just dedicated to the expenses of 45 and his bunch. It would show the daily tally what he costs the American taxpayer, similar to this one http://www.steuerzahler.de/Home/1692b637/index.html in the right upper corner that shows the German debt and gets updated every second.

Watching this back and it's still incredible to consider Trump is actually the fecking President.

Obama was a good talker in his own back garden but when it came to travelling abroad to take on the likes of Putin at the G20 he routinely crumbled. Say what you like about Trump but he'll never be too meek to do whatever it takes to ensure American interest is met.

He may at risk of being outfoxed but that's what advisers are for.

Just remember, they are travelling to his properties. When he drags bannon and all the rest to florida, 50+ people, they are staying at his property. And he is charging the tax payer for it.

He doubled the rates at the place the day he won the election. He is probably making $250k or so a weekend for himself out of the taxpayer. No wonder he made a big show of not needing a wage.

Yeah, that's a great idea. Isn't everything readily available to the public because Government spending has to be accounted for? If so, then it should be easy enough to do. My estimate above is a low estimate too and just going on what has been reported so far, but I don't care what anyone says, $1.2 BILLION just on extra Secret Service protection alone is a ridiculous amount of money, and surely could be better spent elsewhere?

 He doesn't listen to his advisors that's been well documented. He has NO attention span, get's ALL of his information from cable news, mainly Fox, and he ignores or knows better than anyone who tries to tell him things. That's why he got conned allowing Bannon on to the Security Council, because he didn't read what he was signing.

As for the rest, a ten year old could debate him and win. He's a moron, anyone with any intelligence could tie him in knots, and that's the worry. As soon as another World leader stands up to him, what will his reaction be? If it's like his normal petulant and spiteful reactions, then that's not good for anybody.

Trump's a bottler himself. Do you not remember when he kept saying during the campaign that he would make Mexico pay for the wall.

He went to Mexico to meet their president and he bottled it and never even bought up who would pay for the wall during the meeting.

This is the way to do it. He's invited to explain his points without using the term "fake news", given a second chance and then he goes right back to it. Totally fair in my opinion.

Excellent! That's exactly the way to do it and exactly what needs to be done, continually, for the next 4 years if that's what it takes.

Seconded.

Apologist

Thanks.

The CE forum got a bit distasteful and offensive for my liking.
Yes, I stayed away a long time for that reason but tRump has tempted me back!

It's hard for us all not to unite with such a common enemy so this thread has been a massive source of high quality information and opinion.

Stick around for a while :)

Trump doesn't give a shit about American interests, he is using the presidency to get paid... And to get his friends paid. Sad!

As curious as I am about how stupid the comment would have been, I agree that it's appropriate to cut him off. Labeling something 'fake news' when the veracity of the story isn't the issue isn't something that should be tolerated. Throwing in an 'in my opinion' doesn't make it any less dumb or harmful.

I believe it's illegal for Trump not to take a wage, as president.

What are the American interests?

He only gives the easy answers to the big problems America has. Getting rid of some harmless illegals, building walls or his economy policies that are short sighted in my eyes aren't - for sure not for a prosperous future for the most in an open and fair society like the most of us want it.

Not sure it is. Just read the comment section as @RedSky pointed out.

I wouldn't ever bother reading the comments section of YouTube, nor would I ever take anything written in it seriously. It's a troll farm, nobody who wants to be taken seriously or with any iota of intelligence would bother using it. It's also not exclusive to the USA so it's usually used by worldwide trolls just wanting to offend and upset as many people as possible. Also, the core Trump supporters are a lost cause, it's almost impossible to get through to them anyway.

You have contextualize what happened here. Paris Dennard is trying to get a job in the administration by constantly defending Trump. Trump himself, during his recent bizarre presser, specifically called out Don Lemon's show as being hateful towards him. So Dennard is deliberately using Trump's Fake News / delegitimization of the media talking points to score points with Trump, who apparently watches the show regularly.

Well, I must be stupid then. I find comment sections usually useful, even if that one is a depressing one. I'm also not sure something's going to change by calling a lot of people a lost cause.

If he went to Putin to talk about occupying Georgia, he'd probably spend the whole time trying to keep Atlanta.

Its a joke and a disgrace to see him profiteering from him going to his own resort 3 times in weeks. Expenses include paying for white house personnel/ secret service lodging , food costs, etc . All this money going from the taxpayers directly to Trump's business.

Some of the recent stories include the following

The Palm Beach Sheriff’s office paying $60,000 in overtime pay each day President Trump is in the area. So the cost for the 9 days Trump has been in Palm Beach is over half a million just for overtime pay.

Secret Service paid $12,000 for tents, portable toilets, light towers, and golf carts for his superbowl weekend trip to Mar a Lago.

Trump sons arrived in Dubai yesterday to open a golf course this weekend. WashPo reported on Thursday, the hotel bill cost was already over $16,000.

"Ok, we move on. What's Captain Birdseye doing these days?"

It's so so sad that it's that obvious.

Each to their own I suppose, and I didn't mean any offence, I just personally think YouTube, especially for anything political is awful and full of Trolls and Wums. Take TYT for example, the YouTube comments section on any of their video clips is disgusting, just full of vile racist, homophobic or exceedingly offensive comments. Someone will try to have a serious discussion but inevitably it descends in to insults or more recently just trolling of "MAGA" or "LOCK HER UP" or now "FAKE NEWS" It's the same for any news site on there. I personally don't think YouTube comments can be taken seriously because you just simply do not know who is being serious or on the wind up and I think the vast majority are just trolling for a reaction.

As for the lost cause comment, if you saw the Trump rally yesterday you will see what I mean. You simply cannot get through to people who will not take anything any news station or media outlet says as truthful. They believe Trump over anything or anyone else and they simply refuse to listen to any alternative argument, so if they won't look, read or listen to any other side, then I am not sure how else you label them, and if you will never get through to them then you just have to accept that and concentrate on the people who do care, do want to listen and do want to make a difference. When you have the actual President making up false terrorist attacks and people believing it because they don't trust anyone else for information, well, then you are on exceedingly dangerous ground.
