They are probably talking about the most powerful military in the world, as in the US spends more on its military than the next 7 countries combined.

The right do love an enormous boondoggle.

No real surprise that Trump is for laying some pipe.

Writing 'tRump' is incredibly daft. Drumpf is stupid too. I always ignored anybody who did 'Obongo', 'Obummer' etc. and this is the same.
It's somewhat different in that Drumpf is his real family name.

Pardon my ignorance, but is the reason behind them doing this purely based on religion?

If so, is Trump actually religious or pretending to be?

Mike Pence the VP started a war on women's reproductive rights and has made it his mission to get abortion laws repealed. He has a similarly nasty opinion of gay rights too, he is an extreme right wing Christian, the rest of those involved I am not so sure. Trump is just jumping on the political bandwagon and towing the party line. He is a New Yorker, normally extremely liberal and it's only recently these extreme views on abortion have come out. He even went as far as saying that the mothers should be punished, even in rape cases, which mirrors what Pence believes. His recently found Christianity is all bullshite too, he's about as religious as any atheist is. He's just playing to the crowd.

Pretending no doubt. He already upped his religious fervour during the inauguration. Not that his lack of religious views ever did him any harm, right enough. Still, might as well court the religious vote if he can...

Also highlights the inherent contradictions in a Republican party who claim to be small government but will still impede the rights of certain groups depending on their own views, and who will spend massively on the military while not raising the taxes to do so.

SCOTUS :(

Notice Flynn is nowhere in sight.

Also, the axis of Bannon, KellyAnne, and Kushner is a timebomb waiting to detonate. Far too many conflicting interests.

Not really his brief as NSA, is it?

And yes, too much competition there already causing all sorts of leaks. Plus the added family element, yeesh.

I thought this would be the case. He was a Democrat up until recently so I guess he just says what will benefit him. And to think people thought they were voting for a change in politics.

Yes, but he's been completely hidden away from cameras since the stories of his calls to the Russian Ambassador the day Obama increased sanctions.

Considering how well Bannon's done at weaseling his way into Trump's circle of influence thus far it'd be good fun to see him get kicked to the curb and be out on his arse. Don't have my hopes up, though.

Re Kushner again, since we discussed this before, do we know much on what Trump thinks about him personally? As in, does he just view the guy as an in-law who's quite useful for political reasons, or does he have any genuine affection for him? Affection being a very, very generous term when we're talking about Trump, of course.

This is comedy gold. Particularly LOL-worthy is that the Narcissist in Chief whose hair do, hair color and clothing are an offense to anyone with a bit of taste is fuming over other people' suits.

Plus, Spicer looked pretty crisp in his suit yesterday. Donald Trump is now an active threat to men's fashion, too. (Was just a passive threat before, given his own poor test)

The fact he's spent his entire life making a living from all the things he says he wants to undo (free trade etc) should've shown everyone he was never going to be a genuine change. Ah well.

I commented here that it looked like Spicer had taken Trump's lead in wearing oversized suits...

This brings up an interesting hypothetical
