I agree, It stuns me that he thinks nobody notices. It must only be a section of his supporters who fall for the bullshit, because surely nobody else does? He really does think he cons everyone, but the truth is he just lies over and over again until people kind of give up arguing with him. He's done it all his life so he wont be changing anytime soon, you only have to look at how many times he barefaced lied during the campaign and the debates. Shit, he even flat out lied about saying things and CNN were running the video of him actually saying them and he still lied about it even when the evidence was being played back to him, you just can't argue with someone like that.
I don't think the intelligence agencies will be happy though, they wont take being treated in such a condescending manner like today, and they wont be brushed off just by him blowing some smoke up their collective arses either. They can't be happy about how he has treated them and called them out for the last few months, and they wont be happy about the national security risk he poses or his close ties to Russia. I think he knows he fecked up with them, or his advisors did and today was damage control. Too little too late though imho, and if anything, like you said, he probably made things much worse by how he acted today.
