The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

WUM on a timer... jumps in with something controversial/grotesque, disappears for a few days then jumps in again when the previous one is forgotten. George Owen is another like that.

Edit: not sure who you mean now :D

Would you like me to be more active? I thought you (and the majority in here) didn't like to be challenged.

I think i prefer to just read the thread and cringe. If you think the democrats are the good guys and the republicans are the bad guys, then what's the point to discuss with you anything.

You just want to talk crap about Trump for the next 4 years, just to eventually vote for the democrat candidate, whoever it is... and start the cycle again. Nah, I'm over that. 10 years ago i might have been all in engaging in such fun discussion, because i was just like you (blind as feck).

You (and everybody else) need to accept Trump is gonna be the president of USA for the next 4 years, for good or bad. Nothing you say or do in here will ever affect that. Deal with it.

If somehow, people here would focus all that anger and bitterness into a discussion of how to change the political landscape, on how to get the establishment out of DC, on how to give new uncorrupted faces the chance to lead, then i might feel more motivated to chip in regularly.

Feel free to start that conversation (or thread). It's not like you (or anyone else) are discussing that, or am I wrong? Have I missed that discussion?

I've heard this before and I can get behind this but when I ask people what they suggest they usual don't have much more to add. Hence my posts in this thread about lack of action... So... What do you suggest?

I agree completely.

He won't last the year.

You realise a lot of Republicans think Trump will be a disaster too, don't you? Wherever you sit on the political spectrum you can have an opinion on his suitability as leader. This forum is for sharing opinions. And most of those opinions are that he's brain dead buffoon who was the worst possible choice to be president. If this bothers you, then take your own advice and "deal with it".

I'm more than happy to be challenged, as are plenty of others. Rebutting nonsensical claims doesn't mean we don't like to be challenged...it just means we think they're nonsense. The victim complex of those in the minority in threads like this is a bit ridiculous.

And no, the Democrats aren't necessarily the good guys, but I'll quite happily argue that the party who intend to repeal Obamacare without a replacement, potentially jeopardising the lives of many Americans, the party who intend to reverse climate measures due to their own misinformed views, thus wrecking havoc on the climate, the party who preach family values and yet turn against them when it suits them, and the party who have argued against Russia for years and are now more than happy to put a man who admires Putin in charge for their own personal gain the bad guys.

And the Dem candidate, whoever it is, is a lot, lot more likely to be the good guy in such a case, or at the very least the lesser of two evils.

Yeah, why would any reasonable person think that the party who want to strip healthcare away from the poorest, give vast tax breaks to the super rich, destroy any regulation on industry, insist climate change is a myth, deny basic science in favour of religious dogma, and impose voting restrictions on people just because of the color of their skin are the bad guys? I mean geez, why would we ever think that?

But no, you know best because you've seen the real truth that all us sheeple just don't understand. Both parties are evil and corrupt and therefore they're both as bad as each other. How could we possibly have missed this priceless wisdom?

Its funny how all these things are important after a black man was president isnt it? Its also funny how people are telling others to stfu when their guy gets in. Funny shit.

The FBI and five other law-enforcement agencies have reportedly been working together for months on an investigation into whether the Russian government covertly sent money to aid President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign. “One of the allegations involves whether a system for routinely paying thousands of Russian-American pensioners may have been used to pay some email hackers in the United States or to supply money to intermediaries who would then pay the hackers, the two sources said,”

I agree completely.

You're the other one on a timer :D

Lads, if ye hung around and defended your opinions as others do here, I wouldn't have a problem with it. You come in here and chuck a hand grenade of an opinion without backing it up and disappear for a week. That's just what ye do.

My sister works in a home in dementia sufferers and maintains Trump exhibits signs of it

It's definitely not a ridiculous suggestion. He rambles and often forgets what he's saying, going onto other, unrelated tangents. He's either a massively willful liar or has just forgotten previous positions or views he's held.

FFS! Trashy tabloid bullshite for sure, guaranteed to get a FAKE NEWS (and probably rightly so) response from The Moron, if he even bothers to reply to it, but I simply do not care, we might as well have some fun while the wanker destroys the world.

Let's not exclude the option of both at the same time.

I'd swear I know that girl! Like, seriously, I've seen her before.

I'd love to see his reply to this though... Please Donnie Small Hands...

Trump looks a bit ruff in that photo on the right.

The arteries in the brain become tighter as people age and their views become more stagnent.

I've seem interviews with Trump in the 80s discussing property investments and politics and he sounds much more eloquent, well thought and quicker than the current version.

EDIT I forgot this but he was actually one of the few who clocked Ali G as a bullshiter very quickly about 17 years ago.

I love how the Republicans (and the Tea Party) spent the best part of 8 years stopping Obama at every corner, including shutting down the entire government for a period of 2 weeks or so - and that's not even including the racial undertones.
And now that he's leaving office, now is the time we need to talk about corruption in politics, and now we need to stand behind the president. Now The very establishment you wish to get rid of actively raised over 300million in private donations by lobbyists and corporations - to direct personal smear campaigns aimed directly at the President.

Yet the Democrats are the cry babies. Remarkable.

1. Stop the hate. The forum moderators should keep this thread free of hate. There is enough hate in this world to keep adding to it. Keep the thread focused 100% in facts and policy talk and not what ifs. Anything else related to Trump's past, personal life (his hair, the golden showers, etc) should be deleted, attacks on trump's (or anyone else) supporters too, they had their (bad) reasons to vote him, just like those voting Hillary.

Trump is the president now and the time to do something about it's gone. But 2020 is just around the corner, so instead of focusing on hating and being angry, its time to think how we gonna stop another status quo puppet to get into power.

2. yeah, maybe a creation of a thread "alternatives to the status quo" "Changing the world order" or something like that would be useful. We could use that thread to give tribune to alternative political parties and candidates with whom we might feel represented. Not only in USA, but also UK. Help spread the word not only here, but to our friends, family, co workers, etc. Its not that easy, because usually you would be on the minority (at least is my case), but as someone said, if you know you are talking the truth, then speak up no matter what, even if only 1 person receives the message.

I don't know. Man i wish i have the right answer for you and the solution. The only thing i know is that the key is getting the people together behind an ideal.

Right now hate and fear keep us blind and divided. We all want the same thing (quality health and education, affordable housing, good paying jobs, a clean environment to live in) but we are too busy fighting each other to make it happen. We are doing the job for the top 1% who don't want that to happen.

When someone talks sense and the truth, like Bernie did, it feels only natural to rally behind him and support him. He was a beacon of light in middle of the DC darkness, but he was swiftly taken care of. It was beautiful while it lasted. Too bad their supporters went from love to hate after he got fecked by Hillary.

The green party its the one with the similar ideas to Bernie, so unless some other option arises, shift support from the unhappy democrats and republicans to them would be a start. Maybe try to convince Bernie to run under their banner next election... start a petition?.

The current system is so well engineered it seems almost impossible to change anything, but impossible is nothing. We need nothing short of a miracle to make it happen, but as long we have the chance to vote, its still 100% on our hands. Believe.

USA is one of the richest countries in the world, with enough resources to provided a nice quality of life to every single one of its citizens, and its not happening. If time after time, decade after decade, we change from democrat to republican and vice versa, and we don't get even close to that, on the contrary, every time further away, then its obviously time to stop and think, what can i do differently? vote differently next time is the first an easiest option.

ps. why people keep thinking i support Trump? I just think he provides an opportunity for 2020, an opportunity for a hard reset. The overlords have taken the piss for too long, and the fact we had to choose between two jokes like Hillary and Trump is more than enough evidence...
