Would Trump be even dumb enough to go up against Fauci? I can't believe he would do that. Not even Trump. I can see the US surpassing 100,000 deaths before 1 Jun. And now Supreme Courts are ruling AGAINST stay-at-home orders?? It's madness!

Can you imagine the Supreme Court in the UK ruling against BoJo and saying we're free to come and go as we please as it's an invasion of our civil liberties while COVID-19 is spreading like wildfire? I thought a state of emergency superseded everything?

Just when I think the Americans couldn't be any more dumber, they always manage to outdo themselves.
 
Trump struggles to explain alleged ‘Obamagate’ scandal in new Fox Business interview

President Donald Trump again provided a vague answer when asked to explain the alleged “Obamagate” scandal he believes should result in decades-long prison terms for his predecessor’s administration.

The president appeared Thursday on Maria Bartiromo’s program on Fox Business, where he complained that his political enemies hadn’t already been prosecuted and jailed, in an exchange flagged by Mediaite’s Aidan McLaughlin.

“If I were a Democrat instead of a Republican, I think everybody would have been in jail a long time ago — and I’m talking with 50-year sentences,” Trump told Bartiromo. “It is a disgrace what’s happened. This is the greatest political scam, hoax, in the history of our country.”

Bartiromo agreed that it was the biggest political scandal in U.S. history, and Trump interrupted to complain that his enemies continued to walk free.

“People should be going to jail for this stuff and hopefully a lot of people are going to have to pay,” he said. “No other president should have to go through. I’ll tell you, Gen. [Michael] Flynn and others are heroes, heroes, because what’s happened to them — they weren’t after Gen. Flynn, they wanted him to lie about me, make up a story, and with few exceptions, nobody did that.”

“There were many people — I watched K.T. McFarland the other day,” Trump added, referring to Flynn’s former deputy national security adviser. “I watched where she was knock, knock, FBI, you know, the FBI. Okay? This was all [Barack] Obama, this was all [Joe] Biden. These people were corrupt, the whole thing was corrupt, and we caught them. We caught them, and what you saw just now, I watched Biden yesterday, could barely speak. He was on ‘Good Morning America,’ right, and he said he didn’t know anything about it, and now it just gets released right after he said that, it gets released that he was one of the unmaskers, meaning he knew everything about it. So he lied to your friend George Stephanopoulos.”

Bartiromo agreed his allegations sounded serious, and she asked the president to explain the scandal to viewers — and he repeated vague insinuations about two former FBI agents and Hillary Clinton that he rolled out throughout the Russia investigation and impeachment saga.

“It’s very simple,” Trump said. “Even before I got elected, you remember the famous — the two lovers, right? [Peter] Strzok and [Lisa] Page — the insurance policy. That means if I won, they’re going to try and take me out. That’s all it means, very simple. It’s an insurance policy. ‘So she’s going to win, isn’t she darling, isn’t she going to win.'”

I'm in neither category.I actually listened to the arguments on C-SPAN yesterday. In no way could Trump be optimistic afterwards.Pundits following the arguments unanimously voted that the Court is going to rule against him It wasn't even close guys were predicting 9-0, 8-1 and 7-2. All against Trump.

I thought Pakistan would need a civil war to sort things out, but it seems no country needs it more than America. Disband the democratic system entirely and start again with a proper democratic system.

Saw this today and it was pretty unsettling putting it into that perspective. I've sat in that stadium dozens of times, and it really helped me wrap my mind around the death toll of this thing.

I find it bizarre how people are so happy to lump a nation of around 330 million people into a single category based on the words and actions of a vocal minority.

Again, you’re entirely dismissing the fact that the majority of people in the US didn’t vote for Trump and don’t support him.

You can’t say 330 million people “deserve” what’s going on in that country just because around 19% of them voted for the dipshit in chief.

Well, in many states voter apathy is high because the Electoral College means that your vote basically doesn’t count. My state for instance... its electoral votes have gone to the Republican in every presidential election since 1980, and all but one since 1964.

They campaign against themselves. The "elites" and the "takers". That cnut Cruz shut down the government then marched down to the WW2 memorial to tell vets that Obama shut down the parks. I also remember the 1st debate between Obama & Romney. Mitt took a fecking huge jump to the left/center to take that debate. Got his ass handed to him the other two.
There is not one fecking honest bone in any Republican in this country. They are fecking deplorable and if there was any word to describe them right now it would be that.

Quite right. I just watched a pharmacist in congress ask Dr. Bright why he was opposed to hydroxochloroquine (sp) being given to patients without close physician supervision... the pharmacist is a republican.

I am the reverse. I was a California voter in 2016 and Maryland this year. Irrelevant both times
