The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

Pretty much. I reckon many (or perhaps most) in the media will secretly miss him if he fails to get re-elected.
They won't need to. He will still hold rallies. He will still do events and the media will be like moth to lights. He won't be like other presidents and lay low.

Trump voters aren't going to stop voting for him because he said something stupid. If that were any criterion they'd never have voted for him in the first place.

They need to be shown how he is the quintessential part of the American elite that has fecked over everyone else in American society for the past 50+ years (Still accellerated by Regan, & W). He has to be shown as the employer of undocumented workers, as the father of unsupported children, as the owner of hundreds of foreign cars and hardly any American.

The great thing about his supporters is they don't care about truth. One can convince them of nearly anything using a stupid enough argument. I admire Fox in a way for it. Bullshitting shouldn't be as easy as they make it look. Democrats need to do it too. No more rising above. Get in there, get dirty, and defeat that son of biatch.

even the most brain-washed plums won't be able to watch that clip and think Trump came out of it well

someone stood up to him and he ran off, its hard to spin that
Reading the comments, it appears you're wrong. So many people want to be ruled by an unaccountable dictator where the people who attempt to hold them to account are the enemy, it seems.

Trump is ignorant and racist. His base is ignorant and racist. Nothing he does is going to cost him votes.

Aye, the best thing for Biden would be to run ads on FOX and AON explaining how Trump mandated gender equality on a federal level (or anti racism causes).

Trumps hardcore base will not be enough.
Chinking away at any part of his vote might be enough if it's as close as 2016. (Oh I just realized you might have meant that as "not enough for him" in which case I agree).

yeah I've worded that wrong, sorry

I actually meant to them themselves internally, not what they say and project outwardly

needless to say, this incident is not going to change anyones mind on Trump - they will continue to defend whatever he does

but there must be a voice inside them saying "yeah that wasn't the best way to handle that"... you'd think?

It's pointless going after Trump base voters. They will never vote for a dem. You don't dilute your platform to appeal to cnuts, you keep it left to appeal to independents and disillusioned dems.

Could've stopped there and it would hold true. Anyone still backing him now, will back him forever. Bit late to see the light now if you didn't catch a glimpse before.

The world's becoming dumber, and so are our democratically elected leaders.

I had my surgeon's mask on at Target today and sure enough one of these macho types came in with his 'stand for the flag' shirt and no mask. Gave me a look over at least once. Probably thought of me as some commie muslim liberal despite the left-arm sleeve tat.

Which state are you in, may I ask?
We wore masks when in California and got a couple of stares

While he obviously is a racist, has he not just been blaming China for absolutely everything in every interview? Not sure if he was saying to that reporter specifically because she's Asian-American.
He specifically said "go ask China" to the Asian American in the room. Why didn't he say it to others? He's a racist cnut.

He's said similar to reporters of all races over the last few weeks. Deflecting the blame onto China has been a key part of his strategy, if you can call it that. He is obviously racist but you could easily put together a video reel that shows him saying the equivalent of "go ask China" dozens of times to all sorts as a childish response to people he thinks are being mean to him.

As mentioned, he's clearly a racist, but he's been blaming China in basically every response he's given since the start of all of this.

That would make sense if the response had any relevance to the question she posed. She asked him "why has this become a global competition to you when people are losing lives?". Why would she ask China for what Trump thinks?

Its not even really a debate anymore.

But taking the racist element out of this his answer to the Question didnt even make sense.

Q: "Why is this a global competition to you if every day Americans are still losing their lives and we're still seeing more cases every day?"

A: "Go ask China"

WTF does Trump promoting the so called ability of the US to carry out testing have to do with China??

He is an idiot.

It doesn't logically flow from her question it just flows from his previous sentence. The last thing she said was about people dying every day in the US. He doesn't like the thrust of that point so just turns to "People all over the world have died. Ask China. They'll give you an unusual answer". It's just him taking a question he doesn't like and turning it into another ramble about how it's not his fault, it's theirs, and they're covering it up.

I'm inclined to agree that he's probably just trying to generally deflect the question by blaming China. It's inadvertently also racist since he says it to an Asian woman, but this time, I think the racism wasn't intended.

I'm surprised he hasn't looked at how many american soldiers died in WW2 and said "I don't like that number, can we change that to just 4 instead 400,000?That would be beautiful"

This. The options in the primaries were:
1. Energise the left, more young vote to boost turnout and win via that (sadly didn't happen, Bernie didn't turn out the expected numbesr)
2. Be just good enough to get the moderates - some nevertrumpers, conservatives - on board, and add that to the democrat base who equally won't vote Trump.

The problem with 2 is that even though the primaries show it 'worked' is that there are enough Dem dissenters out there trying to convince others to just not vote, because some good and some less good reasons.

For the GOP it's simple: homogeneous base, win at all costs
For the dems it's hard: disparate base, competitive primary, loyal followers of ideologies that don't span candidates and of course the GOP will make it hard for minorities to vote in key areas. And they have to do all that while maintaining a better moral compass too.

Big day today, McConnell will be enjoying the fruits of his labour no doubt about that.

I've read up on this a bit - if they go back on the Clinton decision (which was unanimous) it will be an absolute disgrace, and practically invalidate the court. That Clinton ruling could hardly be clearer - the President's private affairs (or those before becoming President) are not covered by any kind of protection, he is a private citizen in the eyes of the law.

It would be amazing if they rule against him, and he immediately tweets out 'partisan courts are GROSSLY UNFAIR! DO we need to LOOK AT new APpointEES that I pick? Many people say Kavano is very weak - look up Ford-blasey!'

He's up early and in super deflect mode already.

Plus more..... He's also attacked Pelosi, Bill Maher, Obama and Biden and just posted this gem...

Is it just me that thinks this is one of the biggest cases in years?

Its absolutely massive but equally absolutely moot. It’s going to be 5-4 in Trump’s favour without any doubt. They own the courts.

The Supreme Court would be mindful to know that if they vote in Trump's favour, there would be a new precedent set for anyone trying to run for President. Basically, Al Capone would now be able to run by hiding his financial records. I hope they know what they're doing here.

Even if they are conservative, they are basically agreeing a crook is entitled to seek the presidency. That's appalling.

Not a chance. The Supreme Court rarely smashes precedent for partisan reasons like that. Even that prick Scalia wouldn't have gone that far.

Of course but we already know how corrupt they are and how they’re more than comfortable with the minor outrage that happens amongst people who won’t ever vote for them or have any way of hold lung them to account. So they whether the mild storm for a week or two and then it’s all forgotten about as the next outrage grabs media attention.

Annnnnd he's off again...

This one's a beauty...

Let's not forget that as well as the two supreme court hearings today, Fauci is also going to be speaking before Congress.

Trump is desperately trying to once again shift and control the narrative by flooding Twitter with his inane, Adderall fuelled ramblings.
