That picture cause me to pause for a few seconds, just to contemplate the fact that these two are in charge of the UK and the US respectively. It is beyond ridiculous that either were ever even considered remotely feasible candidates, but to have both actually in charge, during such volatile times is incredible.

History books will not be kind to us.

America is fecked. A president can't be investigated. I am not a scholar but surely the founding fathers did not have that intension?

It's certainly not what the founders intended. It's all part of Bill Barr's belief that the president is essentially a king. They can refuse legitimate subpoenas and requests from Congress, fire the FBI director for any reason, carry out torture despite it being illegal, etc. Barr is the man who argued for pardoning the criminals involved in Iran Contra, potentially to cover for HW Bush.

Congress has already ceded far too much power to the executive ranging from tariffs to war powers. It doesn't need the effectively unlimited powers that Barr believes it has. Excluding the two SCOTUS justices, there is no more consequential or dangerous appointment for Trump than Barr. With him, he can do anything he wants.

So I'm trying to run the main constitution highlights through the mousewheel in my head. Second amendment says the common man should be armed in case the ruling party becomes dictatorial. The dictatorial party actually supports the NRA who will arm the common man against them. 50-D chess.

My mouse has died.
The second amendment doesn’t even say that. It had different interpretations over the years too. Think of the context of when the second amendment was written. Great Britain was just kicked out and was still an adversarial super power. You also had the threat of the French and Spanish colonies/territories being on your doorstep + any hostile native American tribes. The newly formed United States didn’t have the military might that we have today. Guns also shot one at a time with a series of steps involved in reloading. No semi automatic high capacity rifles. So when you combine all those factors, it would make a lot of sense to entitle civilians to guns. 2019 is a whole different world to then.

He gets angry when the Do Nothings Do Something.

Sound like he is pitying himself.
Trump is someone who has flouted laws and regulations all of his life. It’s second nature to him. He assumes it’s second nature to everyone. In his mind what he has done everyone else will also have done too. That’s why he’s feeling angry, upset and victimised.

It’s going to get worse.

Is he more or less equating 'presidential harassment' with sexual harrassment?

Napoleon Bone Spurs
He didn't even fight for the YOU-S-A, let alone its common folk.

Trump’s main argument against the deposition is that state court judges lack the legal authority to force a sitting president to testify and may not show the proper deference to a president’s other critical duties.

Court case brought against Trump and his bodyguard (Schiller) from 2015 has still not started because Trump objects to having to provide videotaped testimony. Was supposed to start last Thursday.

Look at how angry he is

He just cannot help himself. He tries to explain why he was speaking to Ukraine and then adds that bit at the end reminding us of the real reason.

According to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, EU institutions top the OECD’s list of the top 10 donors of official development assistance to Ukraine, with $425.2 million contributed on average for 2016-2017. The U.S. was second with $204.4 million in assistance, closely followed by Germany, which contributed $189.8 million on its own, in addition to contributions it would have made through the European Union.

Imagine for a moment this was your spouse, local mayor, boss or whoever going on extreme rants and behaving like this. I am guessing 99.9% of people would not be cool with that, and seek a divorce, want a new mayor or for their boss to be fired. But this is the freaking POTUS, supposedly the holiest of holy, the most important position in our country, those who is sworn to uphold the values of this country. What a fecked up time.

whats the law in the states... i mean publishing an accusation like that in the UK would clearly open you up to a libel case... and yes we know he has the best lawyers and yada yada but without evidence (and im sure if he had it he would have published it) hes gonna get smashed in that case (at least under uk law)
