"And I did a mean version of Oliver's Army too."

Sounds fair to me

Seriously, what's the f*ckng point?
Donald Trump has told reporters he doesn’t believe his own government’s climate change findings that the US economy will suffer substantially with continued warming from greenhouse gas pollution.

“I’ve seen it, I’ve read some of it, and it’s fine,” he said
outside the White House on Monday. “I don’t believe it.”

Are you loathsome tonight?

Trump's version of Elvis songs:

Suspicious Minds (you know who!)
Jailhouse Rock
Heartbreak Resort
It's now or never (or before January anyway)
Always on my mind (an ode to Ivanka)
Love Me Tender (an ode to Putin)
One Night (with Stormy)
Kentucky Rain (in Moscow)

At this point I’d be willing to accept that Jesus Christ is the son of God if it meant he’d appear to all these fecking evangelicals who voted for that twat and tell them all

“Lo, I came back as an illegal immigrant and you tear gassed me”

:lol::lol:

Jesus would fit right in too. Skin tone and the name.

I read the 3rd one as Heartbreak Escort.

Would be fitting if Trump croaked on the toilet mid tweet.

I want him to be impeached and imprisoned for 15 long years and to finally croke it with a massive stroke on the toilet in the 14th year when a guard shouts to him that his full tax returns have been leaked to world and everyone now knows he’s nothing but a con man with negative capital.

Yet another example of how weak-willed and complicit the press gang is.

Immediate follow up should be;

“No. That’s not an answer. You told us what you THOUGHT. We need to know how you, as our President, FEELS when you see women and children having tear gas thrown at them by our Military”

Ignore the fact he made up the detail of it being ‘different’ tear gas. Ignore the victim blaming. Ignore the conspiracy theory he threw in about ‘grabbers’.

He didn’t answer the question asked.

Make him answer it.

Took him 37 minutes to write those three tweets, and that's not even allowing for the time spent drafting the first one, so probably an hour.

An hour.

I have a theory on this.

I think he’s been told that tweets produce better numbers if they are the most recent tweet. So it inflates his engagement stats if he gives a tweet a longer period of time as the most recent tweet. It’s also why he posts sequential tweets rather than nested threads like everyone else does.

Possible, but that does credit him with more intelligence than I'm comfortable with.

There was a South Park episode mocking the American evangelicals. Jesus himself literally was there telling them that what they were doing was wrong, and the American priest ordered Jesus to be locked up

They really are a special bunch, these “God fearing Americans”. I mean, it’s hard to imagine a group of people who are further away from the ideals that their God preached than these lot.

They are not Christians. They are old testament fanatics. The only reason they aren't out shedding blood like the Taliban or ISIS is because of the laws and separation of church and state. They've a very scary and medieval agenda for this country and it's going magnificently for them. Since living in America I can tell you this, by most markers of a civilized constitutional republic they are anything but exceptional. The country is being strangled to death by greed and delusion and since Obama was elected, a very unhealthy dose of hatred. I love the people though and can honestly say that 99.9% of them are cool as feck. They are just brainwashed in so many different ways.

If I was Trump's team I'd spend more time painting Manafort as a crook and dishonest individual who stole from my campaign and therefore not a trustworthy witness to smear his cooperation.

This is always an interesting analysis, and I remember thinking similar back when I was 16 and did an exchange semester in MS (close to Tupelo, where the don was the other night). I was already agnostic/leaning to atheism back then, more interested in making fun of the church than anything else. But I'd been educated in a catholic school up to then, so I was at least aware of what they tried to teach us in religion class. The few times I was forced to go to church in MS (non-catholic) I noticed how little of the new testament came up, compared to my school and churches back in Brazil where the gospels were by far the most quoted.

Trump-loving Ohio autoworkers feel betrayed after GM plant closes: ‘We’ve seen nothing but job losses’

Autoworkers who voted for President Donald Trump are feeling betrayed after General Motors announced it would close five factories — including one in an Ohio county that backed the president.

GM announced Monday it would close the factories and lay off nearly 15,000 workers, including many in Lordstown, where Trump won by six points in 2016, reported the Washington Post.

Trumbull County had backed Barack Obama by 23 points in 2012, but voters were won over by Trump’s message on jobs.

“He came to our community and said: ‘Don’t sell your house. These jobs are coming back,’” said David Green, president of United Auto Workers Local 1112.

About 40 percent of the local union voted for Trump, but Green said they had little to show for it.

“We’ve seen nothing but job losses around here,” Green said.

Capri Cafaro, a former Democratic leader of the Ohio Senate who lives in Trumbull County, said the closure was disappointing but hardly surprising.

“It doesn’t necessarily come as a surprise, given the trend line that has been happening,” Cafaro said. “We lost 1,500 jobs in the last year.”

Green said the announcement felt like a gut punch.

“It’s like someone knocks the wind out of you,” he said. “You lose your breath for a minute.”
