When she puts her hand there it looks kinda scratchy. It actually reminds me of Wim Kieft until a few years ago as a pundit. To be fair to Kieft it was probably down to being fidgety due to a cocaine problem, but it doesn't really look like she's flashing something into the camera to me.

Just for some context, I know nothing about this woman, but it didn't look like anything to me. It all sounds a bit farfetched and Qanon-like to me.

Meh watching the close up it does look kind of suspect. Damnit, stupid internet is making me doubt my sanity again.

Coke makes you sweat a lot, which gives you blocked pores, which you scratch at a lot and make worse.

We're now in the Twilight Zone of making up whatever crazy shit explains what we want to believe. Do doo do do Do doo do dooooooo

Go meeeeeeeee! Woooooooooooooo

cnut!

Genuinely can't believe that wasn't Denald. It's just so... dumb. I mean, I get that he thinks he's doing a pretty good job, but almost everyone? And they think his administration has done more in two years than any other administration in the history of the country? It's so ludicrous it's almost hard to believe even Trump would say it. Why didn't he just say "Most people agree we're doing great"?

It's all part of his and Rudy's delusion. They are the greatest Americans who've ever lived.

Is he actually running the country any more, or solely running his own Twitter account full time.

He never tweeted this much before he was a candidate did he?

As if Mattis would say anything else?

No one working for Trump has the credibility to challenge Woodward. Hard to underestimate how trusted he is to Americans, but fascinating to see the modern politicians response - to spin him as a bitter Democrat.

If it wasn't for fake news, his job-approval rating would be 899%!

What I don't get though. Woodward interviewed all these people. Why would these people tell a journalist with the intention of publishing a book openly tell said journalist that they think Trump is a moron? I mean, I'm sure they do think he's a moron, but what's in it for them to tell Woodward?

What am I missing here?

'Congratulations to my very close black friend Tizer Woofs on making the Ryder cup TEAM! Warmest condolences!'

'Before he became rich, white & famous - and thefore my friend - Tizer was the best caddie and cup-holder I ever gave small change to! Helluva ashtray too!'

An embrrassing post, you should be ashamed of yourself. Drawing up fairy tales on internet to cast aspersions over someone's character and their intention to use their background as a cover for flashing a hoax of a hate symbol. Mindbogglingly stupid.

Its not like you offered an alternative explanation that makes any more sense. Based on this post you sound like you are still stuck in 2010 or something mate. Catch up with the times crappy, crap person

And yet, despite all this insanity, the economy is booming, unemployment rate is below 4 percent, something not seen since the Clinton era and new trade deals that favour American workers are being put in place. NAFTA is being renegotiated, plans are in place for infrastructure spending to rebuild roads and bridges. It could be worse!
You watch too much Fox News.

He finally got round to important matters of the day.

Wrong as usual though.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...gn-created-43-million-in-buzz-for-nike-so-far

The controversy surrounding Nike Inc.’s new Colin Kaepernick ad can’t be a surprise to the sportswear company. And in spite of the backlash, it’s probably pretty good for the brand.

In less than 24 hours since Kaepernick first revealed the spot on Twitter, Nike received more than $43 million worth of media exposure, the vast majority of it neutral to positive, according to Apex Marketing Group. That far outweighs the risk of alienating some customers, said Bob Dorfman, a sports marketing executive at Baker Street Advertising.

What’s more, he said, the move sends a strong signal to their current roster of athletes and positions Nike as a savvy risk-taker. “It’s not a move that any company can make, but for Nike it’s definitely smart business,” Dorfman said.

A Nike spokeswoman didn’t respond to a request for comment. The company’s shares closed down 3.2 percent Tuesday, the biggest one-day drop since April. Shares in Nike’s top competitor, Adidas, also fell.

The campaign is just the first step in Nike’s new partnership with Kaepernick, an extension of a deal he’s had with the company since he entered the NFL in 2011. The ad features his face along with the slogan, “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.” Kaepernick hasn’t been on a roster since 2016, after he started kneeling for the national anthem to protest racism and police brutality in the U.S.

The image immediately drew the ire of those who view Kaepernick -- and others who joined him in protest -- as selfish millionaires who disrespect America. Some posted videos of themselves burning Nike shoes and apparel or cutting the swoosh logo off their clothing.

Others praised the ad, including former CIA Director John Brennan, Iran’s former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and fellow Nike endorser Serena Williams. One sports gambling site published betting lines for Nike’s stock price at the end of the month.

President Donald Trump, one of the most outspoken opponents of the players’ protests, told the Daily Caller on Tuesday that the ads send “a terrible message.”

“Nike is, at the same time, one of the world’s best product companies and one of the world’s best marketing companies,” said Simeon Siegel, a senior retail analyst at Nomura Instinet. “This has been their strength. They understand impressions, they understand brand image, perhaps as good, if not better, than anyone.”

Nike’s Legacy
The company also knows its customers. Two-thirds are younger than 35, and it’s an ethnically diverse consumer base, according to NPD Group.

“Nike cares most about the category influencers and tastemakers -- nearly all of whom will embrace their decision,” said Howe Burch, the former head of U.S. marketing for Reebok. “They know they will lose some customers short-term but not the kind of customers that really drive their business.”

Supporting disruptive athletes has long been a part of Nike’s marketing, dating to the early 1970s and runner Steve Prefontaine, the company’s first athlete endorser. Last month, when the organizers of the French Open banned an outfit worn by long-time Nike athlete Serena Williams, the company tweeted “You can take the superhero out of her costume, but you can never take away her superpowers.”

As part of the new campaign, the company plans to release a Kaepernick-inspired shoe and t-shirt and will donate money to the quarterback’s “Know Your Rights” educational campaign, according to the New York Times.

NFL Reaction
Nike’s renewed partnership with Kaepernick might create some tension between the company and the NFL. Nike has also been the official uniform and sideline apparel supplier for the NFL since 2012, a partnership recently extended through 2028.

The quarterback is currently suing the league, accusing its owners of colluding to keep him out of the league. Last week an arbitrator said Kaepernick had enough evidence to take the suit to trial.

“It’s a little surprising that they would take this position as the official supplier to the NFL,” Burch said. “But they’ve never been uncomfortable being contrary.”

The NFL on Tuesday said it is committed to “dialogue, understanding and unity.”

“The social justice issues that Colin and other professional athletes have raised deserve our attention and action,” the league said in a statement.

I noticed that. Interesting how the disapproval rating also dropped. Those two are usually pretty damn connected.

That's likely because of the Selzer & Company poll (rated as A+) that had him with a lower disapproval rating.

Couple weeks? Jeez, its hard remembering everything from one day.

The most significant development I guess would be Cohen pleading guilty to illegal payments and directly implicating Trump as instructing him to do it. This alone is solid grounds for impeachment.

On the same day Manafort was found guilty on 8 counts of financial crimes, got off on 10 counts (although Jurors voted 11-1 guilty). Those will probably be re-trialled although not anytime soon as his next court appearance on him acting as a foreign agent is scheduled for this month, this one should prove very interesting.

CFO of Trump Organisation has been given immunity by prosecution. This guy oversees every transaction for every company within the group and has been there forever, used to work for Donald's dad. We can only speculate what he's given up in exchange for immunity but should be juicy.

Owner of National Enquirer has also turned against Trump and been given immunity. This guy has a history of buying up damaging Trump stories under exclusivity deals so he can bury them and nobody else can publish them.

On the trade front he's been trying to re-shape NAFTA to something he can put his own name against and set the propaganda machine to work that its a good thing. Don't think there's anything likely to come of it except soured relations. He was sent packing by the EU after forcing a negotiation with his tariffs, probably will be same result with mexico/canada.

Well damn thats a lot! Thanks for the overview, really appreciated.

The run up to mid-terms is getting interesting.

im sorry. It all reminds me of some sort of Qanon conspiracy. She isnt even doing the sign right.

There is a massive difference between Qanon and what is happening here. To start with this is why I think everyone should be watching Get Me Roger Stone.
Stone is someone who got his start making false donations to Democrats under false names in the 1970s with the specific intent to then publicly attack the Democrat candidate for receiving donations from groups like Red Communists. And his nefarious tactics only increased exponentially since he was 21 in the early 1970s. Stone is really the godfather of modern 4chan/alt-right/Trumpist trolling. Trump's mentor was Roy Cohn, one of most immoral, selfish operators in 20th century American politics. I think people really need to realize what group of people Trump came from and who his allies are. Literally nothing is beneath these people to gain a political advantage. Its a massive mistake IMO to not understand how these people actually think and operate. Bash's boss is Stephen Miller. People should really understand who some of these people are:

Miller represents a rising generation of conservatives for whom “melting the snowflakes” and “triggering the libs” are first principles.

A lot of things

This confirmation looks fire.

Leahy seems to have caught Brett in a huge scandalous lie about stolen emails.

I doubt they will pull the nominee. But this is fascinating stuff. Chairman seems livid. Kavanaugh is rattled and completely caught off guard

I will never know why a song and a flag are held in such high regard in America. it baffles me. As a brit, I can say our national anthem is shit, and nobody would care.

I get that they think its a symbol for America, but then they put the symbol in higher regard than America (i.e. the issues the American people face).

I'd home my song in his regard if i was Italian or French tbf. Absolute bangers.

Shameless disingenuous statements from Lindsey Graham say everything that needs to be known about this. Graham presented himself as some champion of bi-partisanship because he "voted for every nominee". Completely disingenuous because they refused to even allow Merrick Garland a hearing. These people have absolutely no morals and need to be called out on it every time
