The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

My Trump voting colleagues are now annoyed at the amount of times I’ve pointed out Trump’s stupidity to them. They’re giving me stuff like “if he bothers you so much, why do you pay him any attention?” and “it’s all just a game” and “it’s losing its effectiveness because you’ve brought it up so much”

Well boo fecking hoo. I told ya so.
I'm sure a few of them have regrets about the vote, I wouldn't constantly remind them of their choice though Incase they start to feel more hardened from the assumed belittling (I'm not saying you're belittling them but to someone who may be aware of their mistake it may seem like belittling). Try and talk about the effects of policy and rhetoric without focusing on the administration or the Cheeto (I know it's hard but think about the future of your societal cohesion after the prat leaves office).

As trashy, moronic and unbecoming as this might be, is it also not illegal? Albeit it's a minor thing among all the shit he's done, but he does not care does he?

Is incredible that I am only 99% sure that is fake

I told them the day he was inaugurated, “I’m going to point out every stupid thing he does to you”.

The fact that they’re getting annoyed by it proves my point.

I feel your pain. I worked in upstate South Carolina for a few years and can easily picture your co-workers and the marathon conversations of inanity you undoubtedly have.

I'm beyond disgust by now; I'm just amazed that he remembered Memorial Day.

In a parallel universe of merit and karma, he'd be Morrie from Goodfellas.

Problem is they will all probably vote for him again... 4 more years... 4 more years... which will turn into him tweeting

"Many people think the 2 term limit is crazy...." etc

Unless he feels it's all getting a bit too much for him then it will be

"Many people are saying it would be a waste of taxpayers money to have an election when it's clear ivanka is the best leader (other than me) in the world"

Long story short... he may be stupid but he's staying president

I talked a lot with a guy for Trump. He was white, walking in Wall Street, though to his credit, he started from nothing going in the country when he was 8. While he said that he voted for Clinton (also said, I wished to have voted for Trump instead), he seemed to really like Trump and actually had relatively strong arguments for it. He said that Trump has been working well on the economy and has been tackling the right problems which other people didn't, but just that he is being tactless about it. Now, it is weird for me to see a highly intelligent guy talking in that way for Trump, but yeah, food for though.

Anyway, I guess you can't expect better from a white guy working in finance.

What he likes is Trump deregulating the bank industry so they can behave recklessly again when it comes to bad investments or loans. They can make a lot of money from that but does carry a lot of risk for the American macro level economy, and this got a big chance to create another world economic crisis if allowed for too long. He knows that it won´t be him or his colleagues that will end up picking up the bill if it comes crashing down yet again. These guys do give one thought to the consequences for ordinary people has to face after big economic crisis happens like in 2008. This is why banks need regulations so you do not have reckless bankers or investors crashing the economy in the pursuit of high risk money endeavours.

To be fair, he wasn't against regulations, and according to him the cuts on taxes for the rich was misinterpreted. Instead, he was saying that it was more less taxes for cooperates rather than for people, which allows cooperates to invest that money and so create more wealth, hire more people and so on. I don't know how right he is (I am not American so haven't had the need of looking on depth into this, reading the laws ans so on) though, and for sure he is biased considering where he works.

He straight up lied to your face when he said these cuts was not for the rich. The Billionaires and millionaires ( The Koch brothers and the Walton family etc ) are the ones owning these massive corporations, and they make more money than ever in U.S.A. This means you are just pilling billions of dollars into massive bank accounts that are al ready massive enough to make big investments without needing more capital by a long shot. This means its handing out money to a place in the economy where they won´t help a lot but they cost about 150 billions a year and someone will pay for them. The Republicans wants to cut Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security to fund these tax cuts. This is taking from the poorest and giving to the most rich Americans. The guy you met just sprouted the same old half lies and miss lead you as they know they can often get away with it most of the time.

He bullshxt's people out of their money, obviously he's going to like Trump  Trump isn't 'working well on the economy' by any metric. He's influencing it like he's influencing the weather.... Taking credit for the good weather today and fecking up future weather with his stupidity.

While the principle is true to some extent, without a proper application it'll just fill the pockets of the rich and doing feck all to the poor, not to mention if he gets his way it'll means the poor has no medical plans.

And probably watches Fox & Friends, Hannity too.

Yeah lads, it feels like America's done. Sorry folks. A president using military dead to hawk his cheap tat is risible and diminishes your entire country. So sorry for all the folks opposed to him having yourselves tarnished by this huckster.

Quintessential ‘trickle down economics’ lie was regurgitated by that ‘businessman,’ that lowering taxes on the rich / corporations will incentivize them to create new jobs. Absolute horseshit.

I genuinely can't believe that Facebook ad for his MAGA crap. Oh America where will this end? :(

So all this trickle down horseshite, can't it be reversed? Give people on wellfare a fatter paycheck so they can spend more money in stores, meaning said stores get more money to invest in development, meaning a growing economy?

With the bonus that instead of making ridiculously rich people more rich, it makes ridiculously poor people less poor?
