50/50 mixture though I've had a few unabashed supporters unfriend me in the past few months. Good riddance. Enjoy the echo chamber you crawled inside.

What I have noticed is very few people I know will have an open debate on this administration. I have seen some hot debates on other pages, and have chimed in a couple times.

TBH I've despised traditional social media for a long time. I'm talking the facebook, twitter's of this world. And the last few years have just proven what a corrosive effect they've had on any meaningful discourse. It gives complete nutters a platform to spread disinformation faster than it can be debunked; and IMO the amount of additional hatred that gets spread behind the cloak of anonymity, is frightening. Social and cultural consequences are important modifiers of individual behaviour. Online, that goes unchecked.
 
You just know Trump is the kind of cnut to completely guess and blag the whole I.Q. Test and get an above average score. It's also not uncommon for narcissistic sociopaths to have a high I.Q.

It's never going to happen though, but if it did I would like to see them take TWO tests, one general MENSA I.Q. Test, and then a general knowledge/history/current events/world politics/geography/spelling/vocabulary test too.

That's a bit pointless. The contest's only interesting if Trump has a realistic chance of not getting embarrassed.

I can’t work out if he’s just incredibly partisan or if someone has him by the short and curlies. Didn’t a journalist do a little digging and find that he has quite a few loans or investments from/in Russia?

Also what’s the chances he is ousted in 2018? In California he must be at risk of a Dem taking his spot, although I realise he’s from a very rural area. You’d home that by aligning himself with Trump so hard he could get burned.

i've met many a mississippian in my time in Louisiana, just like their louisianian counterparts, quite backwards... i had a boat party with a bunch of frat mississippians, i felt like i could of easily borrowed one of their guns and shot myself.

WV has an interesting history, a combination of racism (a white state, not part of the south/confederacy), a lot of violent suppression of labour followed by big wins for unions in the 30s*, and an unbroken streak of Democrat loyalty for about 80 years which broke only in the mid-2000s. WV stayed blue long after the rest of the south turned Republican.
I don't think WV had much to do with what happened in Charlottesville, where white nationalists had come from across the US and at least the famous arrestees weren't coal miners from WV.

No idea, beyond their accents and their boat decorated in the Confederate flag, i wasn't paying too much attention to them, all they were trying to do were trying to ask me about my accent/tattoos whilst their "buddy" chat's up my Mrs :lol:

i've always been interested to know, why is Virginia classed as the "South" as when you look on the map, it's not exactly anywhere near there, i'm moving to Fredericksburg next year so the history behind it is pretty appealing.

I'm not really into hip hop or Eminem, but I enjoyed that. Just a lot of passion behind it. Like that he calls people off the fence.

Holy sh1t. I'm not going to be daft and call it 'brave' but having the bals to say no fan of trump could be a fan of his was pretty damn bold. Possibly idiotic on many levels, but bold.

The Fantastic 4 bars were solid.

He’s said worse things in the past that many considered idiotic but he’s still here being a legend. But yes, bold no doubt.
