 He just doesn't have the ability to behave like a mature president, even when dealing with one of the most challenging disasters he'll face during his term.

That just makes me want to weep. And yet still you have people defending him, even on this forum too. It's pathetic.

Has there ever been a more odious politician? I've never seen anyone combine such stupidity with an unprecedented amount of arrogance and cuntishness. I've seen people say Pence would be worse but I just can't imagine anyone worse than this clown. He needs to be put down.

How out of touch could someone be? Wearing high heels to a fecking flood/disaster zone, what was she thinking? Seriously, is there nobody advising the Trump's at all? Shit like this is just so avoidable. Obviously in the grand scheme of things it's not that big a deal, but it's just so needless and stupid, and also pretty damn thoughtless. As expected, the press and social media are all over it. "Disaster Barbie" is trending on Twitter.

"When do I get to meet Harvey?"

He quite obviously has some brain issues. I don't think he's switched on most of the time, so his mouth automatically goes to the greatest hits.

Though to be fair, she did switch to some trainers once they landed in Texas.

Just not for the photographs

Can you imagine the shit if Michelle Obama had turned up at a disaster zone wearing high heels? Feck, I've seen hundreds of Tweets praising Trump's response to Harvey and saying that Obama was busy off golfing when Katrina hit. I can't understand how these people firstly don't know that George fecking Bush was in charge, not Obama when Katrina hit, and secondly how can they have the nerve to suggest Obama was busy playing golf when Trump has played for over a month solid since being President? I seriously just cannot comprehend what goes through these peoples minds. I don't want to be rude but it's fecking difficult showing restraint in the face of such stupidity and ignorance. A mistake is a mistake, everyone makes them, but this is just outright denial and complete ignorance of the facts.

Nothing.

Guaranteed, he will say things that will eventually lead to a perjury charge for his Dad.

They've smelt blood with him. He's a potent cocktail of arrogance, ignorance and sheer stupidity. Guaranteed he's the one to drop them in it.

 Yeah, I guess you're right, mate.

Guaranteed, he will say things that will eventually lead to a perjury charge for his Dad.

I was thinking more he will perjure himself.

They've smelt blood with him. He's a potent cocktail of arrogance, ignorance and sheer stupidity. Guaranteed he's the one to drop them in it.

Let's hope so, but as I said above, I can see him just dropping himself in it.

I really do wonder if all we need to do as right-minded people is just start cheering for the guy if/when he says something we like.

He runs on popularity. Not policy.

If 1000 people cheer when he says one thing, but 2500 cheer when he says another, all that's really needed is a large group of people ready to sway him.

Looking forward to Trump's inevitable pardon of his son(s) and to see if the GOP grow some balls to stop the blatant despotism.

Meanwhile, Bryan Fischer had a caller claim that Obama went after Arpaio because the sheriff went after his birth certificate. Fischer didn't exactly agree nor disagree but then stated that the certificate the WH produced was fake as his IT department showed Fischer how it was faked. He also claimed Soros is backing leftists like antifa and that leftists give rise to fascism.

Only Trump could turn a disaster into a PR exercise.

While Trump is making the US look stupid in pretty much every possible way you can think of, he obviously doesn't have the political savvy to get his policies through. Pence might seem like the better choice of the two, and there's no doubt that the US would be less of a laughing stock if he was in charge. He does however have much stronger political views than Trump, has more desire to see them through and might also have the ability to actually do so. Trump is, rightly, being criticised for his behaviour, but luckily enough he's not getting a lot done.

They all do. It's just traditional to try and hide it.
Agreed. Obama even used it together with Chris Christie, Bush attempted it with Katrina (and did it with 911). Merkel did it a few years ago when there was flooding in Germany. I'm sure politicians do it all over the world.

This is Trump finally honoring tradition

He didn't have to dress up as Steve Redgrave though.

You have to do it this way... won Schröder the reelection in 2002 after his numbers were pretty low before the flood...
