Incredibly, he's trying to associate his presidency with something - anything - historic...even if it's an historic disaster.
 
First it was WashPo with their exclusive yesterday on Trump Tower and today its NYT's turn. This looks like one of those stories where we'll see more info come to light in the next few days.

WaPo & the NYT are killing it. They and Colbert are doing their best to salvage the reputations of >60% of Americans.
 
Ugh!

The irony of the Finish President talking about the dangers of black carbon and climate change to Trump who doesn't believe a word of it. Also, then Trump talking bullshit about reducing carbon yet he won his campaign on brining back the coal industry.

Also, Trump asked about pardoning Sherriff Joe and responds by bringing out a list of people pardoned by previous Presidents in a classic display of whataboutism. On top of this he slams Obama continuously again.

Oh, and he said this too..



And he reiterated he will shut the government down if he doesn't get funding for the wall because the wall is needed to stop the drugs pouring over the border from Mexico. He's just so fecking dumb, and poorly informed too.

Democrats seem to be way too quiet on this front.

This should be a priority right now for any sensible politician/party, but they get tie tongued when it comes to issues like this as they're too focused with things like the Russia investigation and removing statues.

President Trump on Monday said he announced his pardon of former Maricopa County, Ariz., Sheriff Joe Arpaio as Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas because he “assumed the ratings would be far higher.”

“In the middle of a hurricane, even though it was a Friday evening, I assumed the ratings would be far higher than they would be normally,” Trump said during a press conference with Finnish President Sauli Niinistö. “You know, the hurricane was just starting.”
