What's with the orders passed by Mattis about transgender serving now? The_donald is going crazy stating that he (Mattis) is only implementing what Trump ordered but all the news sites are saying stuff to the contrary.

Anyone care to help me understand why there's such a disconnect in the views on both sides?

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump is in on the the Mattis policy as he was probably a bit surprised at the blowback. This would allow him to be perceived as continuing with the policy, which is good for his base, while at the same time not actually proceeding with it.

Oh, the irony! For a guy who hasn't paid any taxes by being smart, he sure has lots to say on the subject. Maybe it's time someone should bring back that topic.
 
Could he effectively work with Schneiderman and then let him bring state level charges against him that Trump can't pardon?

He's achieved a lot. Let's be honest.

The achievements don't even come close to mitigating the missteps but he's got a lot across the line.

I don't much agree with his 'achievements' but through his eyes he's done a lot.

I can see his issue. Even if I loathe the thing.
