The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

He's only losing GOP support in the Senate with this sort of crap. Senators are thinking if he can do this to McConnell he can do it to anyone.
I guess he's counting on his legion of die hard supporters making life a living hell for anyone he deems fit to go after. If Mitch or anyone else speaks out against him too hard - they'll get inundated with phone calls and of course bad press from the likes of Hannity.

But, you're right - this really should be so much easier for him. It's like he's forgotten the Republicans are on his team

Yeah I think his degree is in sociology? or the like when he often markets himself as a religious expert.

That's correct. I've had a quick look through his PHD dissertation and it's on modern Islamic movements IIRC. And I believe he's currently employed teaching Creative Writing.

At the time of the interview, Aslan was a religious history professor at Drew University.

Also, his academic credentials...

Aslan holds a BA in religious studiesfrom Santa Clara University, a Master of Theological Studies (MTS) from Harvard Divinity School, a Master of Fine Arts(MFA) in fiction writing from the University of Iowa's Writers' Workshop, and a PhD in sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.[5][6][7][8] His 2009 dissertation, titled "Global Jihadism as a Transnational Social Movement: A Theoretical Framework,"[9] discussed contemporary Muslim political activism.[10]

His PhD advisor on his academic credentials...
Since I was Reza’s thesis adviser at the Univ. of California-Santa Barbara, I can testify that he is a religious studies scholar. (I am a sociologist of religion with a position in sociology and an affiliation with religious studies). Though Reza’s PhD is in sociology most of his graduate course work at UCSB was in the history of religion in the dept of religious studies. Though none of his 4 degrees are in history as such, he is a “historian of religion” in the way that that term is used at the Univ of Chicago to cover the field of comparative religion; and his theology degree at Harvard covered Bible and Church history, and required him to master New Testament Greek. So in short, he is who he says he is.”

Might I also add that creative writing is the perfect job for a religions expert.

Bazinga. I'll get my coat

The 6 a.m. raid on Manafort’s Virginia home last month seemingly caught his legal team by surprise. It came the day after he testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee, and after he had provided his notes to the committee.

Russian Meeting
In fact, Manafort had alerted authorities to a controversial meeting on June 9, 2016, involving Trump’s son Donald Jr., other campaign representatives and a Russian lawyer promising damaging information on Hillary Clinton, according to people familiar with the matter. The president and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, were dragged into the matter as details repeatedly emerged that contradicted the initial accounts of that meeting.

*sigh..*

This is a good thing.

Though - he needs to get some new phrases....

"The opioid crisis is an emergency and I'm saying officially right now it is an emergency," Trump told reporters. "We're going to draw it up and we're going to make it a national emergency. It is a serious problem, the likes of which we have never had."

Hottdamnn...this spokeswoman

Really? Don't get me wrong...she ain't ugly She's your standard Fox News 'journo' - white, blonde, long legs

Huh. Must have missed the drug epidemic of the 70s.

What's the name of that disorder signified by sufferers who always go to extremes, and constantly claim that things are the best or worst? Hysteria? Whatever it is, Trump seems to be a victim of it.

Did anyone see Colbert showing Trump's fondness of the phrase "the likes of which the world has never seen" and variations thereof?

So seriously, the whole trope in films involving the President and nukes where they require two people turning keys at the same time or people confirming specific numbers from keycards or similar stuff is all redundant and bullshit 'cause Trump can launch if he wants to?
