The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

What doesn't make sense is Priebus not telling his allies in the WH that he was resigning, as they've been briefing the media since yesterday that he wouldn't quit.

Yup, that's what I meant. All the noise coming out the WH has been Reince is staying. How long do you think Bannon has left now? He was being portrayed as the President on SNL only a couple of months ago

I'm trolling some of my Trump voting friends hard right now... the ones who held their noses and said the mainline GOP would reel him in.

Just sent them a text with the link to Preibus' firing and a text saying "He's gonna pivot any day now"

So is Gen Kelly one of those sympathetic to Trump/GOP beliefs? Because I can't fathom any decorated military member that truly cares for the nation taking a position within the WH staff at this point.

Any odds on who he's going to appoint to be the new Director of Homeland Security and how long it'll take him to do it?

Odds on another sycophant? Perhaps Rudy G needs a job where he can unleash his version of homeland defense.

Kelly is a big border wall advocate

And god help us if it's Rudy

He seems to share Trump's dislike of the media.

Even when they've been ridiculed and humiliated, they still show no bottle and act like cowards when they leave.

First Spicer and now Priebus will be doing exit interviews with propaganda host Hannity to try to make out everything is fine.

Here it goes... Wolff has him on now. This will be a bunch of hogwash.

Yep. He's claiming he handed in his resignation yesterday. That explains him being driven away at the airport.

GOP dude on CBS...

"Well, I reject the premise. The White House is absolutely not in crisis"

----"Well, how would you describe it, then?"

"Uhhh... sure it's volatile right now and it is full of rumor and innuendo, but it is not in crisis"

----"Right. Monday and Tuesday, his son was giving testimony about dealing with Russians. Wednesday he was attacking the Attorney General. Thursday his Communications Director is attacking everyone he works with. Friday we get this... Oh! And the Senate can't pass a bill and the North Koreans are shooting off missiles that can reach the US. So in any other White House, any of those would be crisis... but not this one."

Fox doesn't like when one of their own (Republican establishment) gets the treatment

Nope, and aside from Fox & Friends, Hannity, Tucker and a couple of other muppets, the majority have been against Trump in recent weeks, the tide is turning, just some are too invested to change. It's really too late for some to try and save face, they will have to go down in flames with Trump.

Charles Krauthammer on Tucker Carlson's show discussing how Trump's family will interact with Gen. Kelly...

"We elected a president, but knowingly or not, we also elected a royal family"

(Drinking while watching Fox News is great)

Tucker Fratboy Carlson forgets that he's a New England elite for a moment during an attack session...

Tucker - "Where did you go to college?"
Guest - "I went to Amherst"
Tucker - "Of course you did"
Guest - "Where did you go?"
Tucker - "I went to Trinity in Hartford, CT"
Guest - "We were in the same conference... you went to a college just like mine"

Tucker is later informed that he's not quite as elite as he thought...

Tucker... "I've concluded you know nothing about the topic of politics"
Guest... "I have a PhD in Political Science, do you?"
Tucker... "Oh yeah, where from so I can tell my kids not to go there?"
Guest... "From Oxford. You don't want your kids to go to Oxford, huh?"

And now some yahoo on The Five is saying Trump's military school background is why he has a thing for generals.

Edit: the yahoo.. it's Greg Gutfield

He just said Juan Williams calling out Trump for telling police to rough up arrested suspects was "stupid and focusing on minor details"
