The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

Just catching up on the NYT transcript now. There's some gems in there, but this one's particularly good.

TRUMP: I then end up with a second man, who’s a deputy.
HABERMAN: Rosenstein.
TRUMP: Who is he? And Jeff hardly knew. He’s from Baltimore.
...
TRUMP: So his deputy he hardly knew, and that’s Rosenstein, Rod Rosenstein, who is from Baltimore. There are very few Republicans in Baltimore, if any. So, he’s from Baltimore.

He's actually a Bethesda man, so he's closer to Washington than Baltimore, but it's funny that the only thing he knows about him is (slightly) wrong. The scary thing is he's openly admitting he doesn't know anything, at all, about the man he hired a few months earlier to be the Deputy AG...that's amazing. This is someone who has gotten bipartisan support (92-6 in the senate and 19-1 in the judiciary committee) and was the longest serving attorney in the US when he was appointed, a man who Trump confirmed, and Trump is openly saying he doesn't know a thing about him.

Who gives a rats ass about this guy's old tweets. The worst possible thing to conclude from him contradicting former held opinions is that he is willing to exchange money for integrity. Hardly surprising given his Wall St. past. And for the record: opinions really do evolve. Best to focus on other things.

They do, but they very rarely do so in such a short period of time.

Kushner in yet more trouble, sounds like there's more to come too. Apparently 40 people went to prison over Watergate. I wonder how many will end up going for Stupid Watergate? If any at all?

Feck me, Trump is getting absolutely slammed by his former Director of Government Ethics department. Saying Trump has issued retroactive waivers to himself and many waivers the office obtained took months and were poorly filled out or unsigned. He's also slamming the numerous conflicts of interest Trump and his family have and he basically said Trump is just enriching himself. He stopped short of saying Trump is breaking laws, but he alluded to it a few times. This shit isn't going to end well for him at all, especially not with everything else that's going on at the moment.

Runs in the family. Didnt his uncle set up his brother over something and landed up in jail?

I don't know, I honestly don't know a lot about the Kushner's. Might go and have a bit of a read up though as it sounds like they have some seriously dodgy family history, not forgetting his dad either. Jared really doesn't look like the kind of person that would do well in prison. Well, he would do exceptionally well, but probably not in an area he would like very much.

His dad. Guy hired a prozzie to frame his own brother (Jared's uncle) to avoid jail time.

Apple doesn't fall far from the tree

A friend of mine's dad got beaten up by a guy in a lift who was paid by his dad's brother -- all over a few million bucks. (They were about to IPO the company but they didnt after that.)

Craziest part of that segment is that he doesn't even know his name. Literally does not know the name of the deputy AG. Madness.

In other Trump news it was nice of him to confirm yesterday he's discussing pardons with his team already and that Session did indeed commit perjury. Looking forward to the spin from Sanders/Mooch today and the inevitable contradiction from Trump himself within the next 48 hours.

Kennedy got whacked for something similar

Where's the emoji?

How long before Bannon goes absolutely mental at him and accuses him of being a amazing person I admire that's trying to bring the Presidency down from the inside?

The battles between him and Bannon will be epic, although we may never hear about them.

Scaramucci is on CNN right now running interference for Trump on the issue of Russia hacking the elections. Sad.

it was hilarious. Mooch basically admitted to the world that trump still thinks Russia didn't hack the election

Trump or the Russians have pictures of Mooch in compromising positions? He has twisted like a pretzel on various positions in the last 24mths.

A military colleague was boasting on FB of her retirement letter with Trump's signature, another clown commented how he was "lucky" to have his signed by Bush Jr in time. fecking morons.
