This is worse than Spicey...Spicey was hilariously incompetent.

This goon is going to be very effective - The Dear Leader thing is scary though

Constant staff changes is a theme you really should expect from trump. sociopaths trust no one, and assume everyone around them is trying to manipulate and control as much as they are. To overcome this they never keep anyone around long.

Its why the only people who stay around his businesses are family, and i'd take a bet he spies on them, a lot, anyway.

I know Godwin's Law and all, but Hitler constantly liked to play a lot of the key figures surrounding him off each other, ensuring there were always minor divisions and fractures, and that he could remain atop the tree. Now, yeah, I know Trump's not Hitler and isn't going to be...but he does foster an attitude of mistrust and fear among those below them, attempting to ensure they do all they can to remain in his good books.

Problem is, anyone who looks competent quickly becomes incompetent in the role with the shite they're being forced to spout. Some might keep up the facade better than Spicer who was objectively terrible by just about any measure, but even someone more capable will seem silly whenever they have to inevitably deny stuff that's actually happened, or when they have to defend Trump tweeting WWE memes or inane rants on Twitter.

Let the lying commence...

Always a funny claim. If Trump were hypothetically correct that the election process was corrupted, the correct recourse would be to redo it. I have my doubts he'd ever be up for that...

It's bullshit thuough in regard to this thread. Left wing fake news like Louise Mensch has been consistently slapped and laughed upon here. So what he is doing is taking credible articles and claiming they are "fake news" we shouldn't believe in. That's the problem.
It's pretty fecked up that a former conservative MP is left wing by American standards.

Yeah the first week alone with him was great. Every administration should have a memorable spokesperson. The only chance Spicer has of fading into obscurity is for the Trump situation to normalise somewhat and for Trump to get a second term.
If he is very smart, he could cash in big time in notoriety. But he'll have to disown Trump in which is unlikely given his hard-core GOP roots.

Is there anybody like me who is getting seriously bored with Donald feckin Trump?

I'm sometimes torn between wanting to end the spectacle because he can do lasting damage and wanting him to stay because it's good drama. Since the environment needs the US to wake up and gets its house in order to mitigate the effects of global warming as soon as possible, I'm inclined to lean towards the former.

You are not basing it on fact, you ate basing it on opinion.

I do not know of one person who argues that Russia attempted to interfere with the election by cyber attacks on Government and software vendor systems. Howver, It is widely reported by the security people they did not change voting scores. So attempt, rather than impacted, is probably more accurate.

Russia wanting Trump is also known, so what, just about everyone else wanted Clinton.

There has been no proof that Russia were in bed with Wikileaks. There is no proof that Trump or his campaign coordinated with Wikileaks.

A number of Trump campaign people or surrogates met with Russians. This has caused suspicion, but has not actually been proven to be collusion or cooperating with a foreign entity to impact the election.

So to jump from a I hate the guy, to he is guilty as hell, shoild be impeached and his aids imprisoned is a bit of a stretch.

The reason I say it is unlikely is that Pence appears to be as straight as an arrow and would have raised this, countless Obama advocates in the security domain, have said no evidence.

As for propaganda, look at your own recent tweets. You want it to be true so you are jumping on the first thing that may support your position.

If he or one of his satellites did wrong they will get what they deserve, but press juries are not the way this should be done.

donald trump jnrs emails indicate conspiracy to collude with a foreign entity. The fact that he wasnt successful does not mean he is not guilty

Is that even illegal in this context? Getting dirt on opponent is a cheap tactic, but it'd be near impossible to prove that as a conspiracy. And even if he was successful, there no way to quantify it's impact on election.

The Russian links will ultimately prove to be all smoke and no fire, imo. Better the Dems move away from this politically better for everyone. They should treat this purely from a national security angle and leave it at that.

Is it illegal to collude with a hostile foreign government in a presidential campaign?

Yeah I think that might be a illegal.

Connections to Russian nationals doesn't mean connection to Russian Govt (maybe obvious, but difficult to prove in court of law).

They've already linked all the Russians in the meeting back to the Russian government.

The Don Junior email explicitly states the meeting is part of the Russian Government campaign to help Trump get elected.

You are not allowed to receive support from non US nationals during campaign, he it money or anything else helpful. That's actually a law. If it applies here, given the specific case, is beyond my expertise since nothing got exchanged.

the emails show that trump junior was told it was coming from the russian government and took the meeting on that basis and made it clear he was happy to receive info from that source. Thats conspiracy to collude with a foreign government, even if the person offering the info was lying to him.

the impact on the election is immaterial to the offence, its the attempt to get the info from a foreign government that is the offence, not whether he was successful.

Why would they? The continued revelations of secret meetings and questionable practices, along with the lack of transparency such as refusing to release his tax returns, will continue to haunt Trump (as they should). He ran largely as an anti-Hillary Clinton, that he wouldn't be a political schemer only worried about saving himself. The more that comes out, the more its shown the opposite is true. The Republicans hammered the Clintons for decades and have largely proven nothing but it's very likely that relentless focus on so many non-issues was enough to create the attitude that the Clintons can't be trusted. The Dems absolutely should make it known that Trump needs to be viewed that way.

As others have said, Don Jr himself confirmed he set this meeting up believing he'd receive dirt on Hillary and that it was being given to him by the Russian government.

Suspect Sessions will be gone pretty soon. Trump end up getting his new AG to fire Mueller. Suspect it'll happen around the time Congress goes home for the August recess as that would be the best time for it

Figures that the Manhattan side of the Trump clique is calling the shots now. Scaramucci is a Kushner, Powell, Cohn, Ivanka guy.

I don't think the cliques are much of an issue anymore since Trump seems to relish keeping conflicting personalities on his staff. He will keep Bannon around as long as he remains useful in keeping the alt-right coalition on board once all the investigations begin to erode his support.

I don't think Trump would be able to get a new sycophant AG approved through the Congress if it looks like he's doing so simply as a first step to eventually get to firing Mueller.
