The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

Jon Cooper is a fraud. He's as bad as the likes of Claude, Mensch and the others.

He's made all sorts up and you just need to look at the users he retweets to realise he's got no inside information and is lying.

The Americans have been at it in the past, but Russia have well and truly took over the mantle.

That's just propaganda. How do you think the IC came to the conclusion that Russia "hacked the election"? They had already hacked into Russia's infrastructure.
The compartmentalized version contains information on the sources and methods used to collect the information about Mr. Putin and his associates. Those would include intercepts of conversations and the harvesting of computer data from “implants” that the United States and its allies have put in Russian networks.

Evidently, everyone's at it. The US and its allies have the expertise, technology and access to get involved in cyberwarfare, they've already shown multiple times that they're willing to get involved in cyberwarfare, and so the only question that remains is whether you believe the people in the US govt. have purely benevolent intentions. If the answer to that is yes then you're really buying into the propaganda.

You keep using this word 'propaganda.' I do not think this word means what you are thinking that it means.

The fact that this big development came at the weekend is very interesting. Stories that get released close to the end of a week get buried and normally dont get much attention.

I think the NYT published the articles this weekend, because they've got more juicy stuff lined up which will be published in the next few days.

In this context it means feeding people like Fergies Gum misinformation on the state of international cyberwarfare community, the varying strengths of each country within it, and the intentions of the US government to "do good", all of which is oriented around promoting the political belief that America is working to make the world a better place.

Then this happened.

For fecks sake. What a shambles.

What a mess

Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing

What's worse is they both keep lying to each other too. Trump is known for his hyperbole and exaggeration but in this instance he really has created " a mess like the world and nobody has ever seen before" I still can't believe he's getting away with everything all the time.

Just been looking to see what excuses the Trump supporters are coming up

Some of their talking points are that Obama/Clinton hired FusionGPS to setup Trump Jr and that it was Clinton/FusionGPS who were colluding with the Russians

It's astonishing how ignorant they are of the law. I mean basic petty crooks are bright enough to know how far "no comment" can go.

The excuses seem to be "they are new to the political world so have made some mistakes and you have to forgive them for that".

Bollocks to that. Illegal is illegal whether it was down to ignorance or not.

Typical of entitled fecks. Never earned it nor expect to get caught.

Calling out Russia's interference is not 'propaganda,' it's fact. No amount of spin or whataboutism can refute that.

Nor is realizing the implications of cyberwarfare on the democratic process 'propaganda,' as opposed to cyberwarfare on an oligarchy or dictatorship. There is a fundamental difference which you don't seem to understand.

 My boss was a complete wanker so I shot him in the face. I'm really sorry, I'd never fired a gun before and am completely new to it all.

It really has to be the worst excuse of all time, almost as bad as my piss poor analogy above. The fact they are so blatant is what is the most upsetting.

Anyway, after such a shitty G20 and more questions than answers arising from it, it was kind of obvious that Mr Trumpy Wumpy would be on a massive distraction trip until he managed to change the topic of discussion again..... And guess what? He hasn't disappointed. Or he has, but you get what I mean.

Get over it Donald!

More bullying! You go girl!

Ooooooooooooooooh Angela

Ahhhhhhh the compulsory Clinton distraction Tweet, how long before Obama has a turn?

It contains direct quotes from Trump Jr himself. Who the person is doesn't discredit what they've said, only an idiot would be so sweeping. A statement or story is true or false based on its own merits, not based on the person tweeting it. If the person is a fraud then it gives you more reason to scrutinise what they're saying, it doesn't make it de facto false.

I think you've just misunderstood the discussion. I haven't remotely suggested that calling out Russia's interference is propaganda. Read back and you'll see that. The comment I was responding to was this:
The Americans have been at it in the past, but Russia have well and truly took over the mantle.

What that implies is that a) Russia are the leaders in cyberwarfare and b) Americans did it but don't any more, or if we're being generous it could be interpreted as America doing less. Both of those statements are propaganda, directly contradicted by the facts on the subject. That's the whole reason Edward Snowden was a story. If America was doing a little of it while the Russians were dominating that sphere it wouldn't have been all that interesting. The reverse has been shown to be true.

I appreciate you're somehow offended at the notion of your nation being recognised for one of its many tyrannical acts but you've picked the wrong argument to have. Propaganda's a really simple concept which I don't need your help in understanding.

He is not what I would call a sophisticated man but its a reflection of who his supporters are.

I remember people telling us - we have to 'understand' Trump voters...stop being so 'elitist'...Nah, feck that.

They're retards and I don't care if saying that means Dems will continue to lose elections. I know who they'll hurt more in the long run and it won't be me.

There's no understanding people who go from hating Russia to loving Russia in the space of a month. I'm done trying to understand people who put aside their morales the second it suits their agenda ( in this case, Clinton is a b1tch).

Propaganda Minister KAC just claimed she never said fake news:wenger:

Edit: She's full of KAC

Watch the video of her I posted above, she really is taking the piss, barefaced lies and treating everyone like they are complete idiots. Saying that statements have been amended to show meetings with Russians.

In other news, Chelsea scores!

A) They actually are, from a political perspective. That belief isn't based upon propaganda.

B) No one said the US isn't doing it anymore, even in the post you're referencing. You've misunderstood the basis of the argument.

That's certainly the story we're being told, but there's obvious reasons to tell that story even if it were untrue. It's not like it would be unusual for world powers to tell the people stories that were untrue, purely to give them authority to take actions against other world powers. It's happened in most of the major democracies in this century already, and the effects have of course been grave.

The reality is the amount of evidence we're exposed to is exceptionally limited so you're choosing to believe something that suits your political beliefs. There's certainly evidence to the contrary. The US interfering in democratic processes beyond their own has been happening for decades and that's been well documented, so I'm not sure why you'd choose to believe they haven't transported that to the cyberspace...

The post specifically says they have been at it "in the past", so at the very least he's saying they're doing it less...as I said. I'm not sure why you chose to ignore that part.

Trump as president is basically like giving the job to some random hate spewing troll from the comments section under a news article. The guy is mindbogglingly incompetent as a politician, I can't imagine that any serious world leader or even U.S. politician takes him seriously. They just deal with him because they have to, and try to get on with their day regardless of what he may say. He basically seems/seemed to think the president of the U.S. had unlimited powers, like him as the boss of his company, like a third world dictator.

I want some kinda every-day Trump filter which I can turn off whenever this nightmare is over.

They are low information voters and descriptor as would suggest, they are unlikely to find out who and why.

Just as a reminder on what we are dealing with.

Sept 2015:

REPUBLICANS CRITICIZE OBAMA FOR TALKING TO PUTIN

Now look at Republican voters take on Putin over time. There is no reasoning with this. It is not worth the effort.
