How I felt listening to Miller spout nonsense and claims others were creating rabbit holes.

Meanwhile, Tomi pleads to the viewing audience...

I have a feeling that putin is trolling the united states, pulling all this shit and he's as close as admiting it on face value.

Bet he can't hold it to keep on from laughing that he manages to trick the usa into electinf this buffoon

Kinda like us feeding bad rumors about de gea and Madrid somehow bites and chooses to buy joe hart

That's such a fecking stupid argument.. Has this moron ever heard of something called 'context'???

They supposedly go to this meeting with the Russians because they were promised compromising stuff about Hillary. No one who went to the meeting reported it despite several of the people working with them saying multiple times, even under oath, that such a meeting never took place. This moron seems to think that the only thing to take away from this is that meetings happen, and that's it.

Not to absolve the media, but it is a for-profit business and the law of supply and demand dictates that the media provide a product that the consumer demands.

You're absolutely right about the de-emphasis of social studies. STEM initiatives have totally left us out. Utilitarianism by a different name.

That's the wrong way around. It's not even a supply and demand model at this point. It's just consumption.

The public aren't being given what they want, they're blindly and voraciously consuming what they're given. That's not the same thing.

If the content was good, the viewership wouldn't drop. A slower news cycle would draw in a far higher media spend and consign click bait to a secondary role.

National Public Radio has a lot of quality content and has high viewership. So the point about correlating good content with good viewership is spot on.

Absolutely.

Ad slots that are tied to great content that's bringing great viewership are worth a fortune. It's the holy grail.

It takes a lot to trust someone with 10-15 minutes of your time. It's easy to give 15 things a minute of your time.

The content needs to be better. Waiting for consumers to force that change is simply never going to happen. There are too many stupid people.

Tabloid tactic straight out of Rupert Murdoch's playbook.

Intelligence service tactic. They've been using it throughout this saga.

1. Drop story with fuzzy details.

2. Trump campaign sends out denials and misinformation.

3. Drop more details contradicting the Trump campaign denial.

4. Watch Trump campaign incriminate themselves furthur as they back track on original denial and revise it in light of new evidence.

It contains direct quotes from Trump Jr himself. Who the person is doesn't discredit what they've said, only an idiot would be so sweeping. A statement or story is true or false based on its own merits, not based on the person tweeting it. If the person is a fraud then it gives you more reason to scrutinise what they're saying, it doesn't make it de facto false.

Think you misread my post. I trust the article itself but not the lies Cooper makes.

This is what he claims

Sources: WH is in total turmoil tonight! For first time, top Trump staffers fear Don Jr is in real legal trouble.

He just makes stuff up and is using this Russia story to boost his own profile. Just look at the other frauds (Like Mensch and one of the fake WH insider accounts) whose posts he retweets to realise he has no "sources" and his claims are a fiction of his own imagination.

Saw this on my Facebook news feed...

God bless you people who still have facebook profiles and login everyday. I deactivated mine because the atmosphere was too toxic in he 2012 election and never went back. I can only imagine how many friends I would have lost with this election cycle and the current climate.

I'm sure this has already been posted...but, I don't care.

This describes what Trump is doing to CNN perfectly...lol

Hardly. This gives him far more credit than he deserves. A conductor manipulates his musicians using skill and technique. Trump isn't manipulating anyone. He's flailing around like an idiot, leaving them horrified and angry at his buffoonery. So basically, the meme is as shit as the president it depicts.

He's had the media eating out of his hands since day 1.

CNN actually paid Corey Lewondowski to shill for Trump...something Jeffrey Lord continues to do.

Everyone knows his surrogates will flat out lie and spread lies, yet KellyAnne Conway continues to get invites.

He's playing the media.

No he's not. They're absolutely fascinated by him but "playing them"? My arse he is.

Jeff Zucker, CEO of CNN, formerly of NBC, is well documented to have a close relationship with Drumpf.

Make of that what you will. He's a feckwit, but he's a well connected feckwit with an understanding of how show business works.

Trump may be playing Fox News, and at times he has definitely manipulated the media to change the story from one subject to another, but he's most certainly not playing them like the meme suggests. If that were the case he wouldn't feel the need to constantly disparage them or continuously assault them by calling them fake news as they wouldn't be upsetting him all the time, which it is very clear that they are.

Trust me he's playing the media... That doesn't mean he's a mastermind. Just that he's smart enough to follow (insert playbook) and use the media to his advantage... He could be better at it (god forbid), but he's not bad...

Part of the play...

So apparently this is true. Bannon, has a painting of himself dressed as Napoleon hanging in his office, and it was a gift from Nigel Farage.

UGH! They really all do frequent in the same circles don't they?

You're giving him far too much credit. With so much evidence that he's an incredibly thin skinned and insecure individual - who cares desperately about how he is perceived - isn't it much more likely that he is genuinely butt-hurt about any negative press he receives?

I'm gonna take a break from this thread for a few weeks (and site really, because I only really look at this) because, ironically, I'm taking a few weeks off work - I don't mind reading this while working, but I want to be productive during my holidays  See ye round if any actually big story breaks!

Was watching "The Five" earlier and Dana Perino made a interesting observation about the 3 WH sources who leaked the info in Sundays article.

She said that it may well be that the WH coordinated the leak to try to get ahead of the story, as they know even worse stuff is about to come out relating to Trump Jr.

When demand for something increases, producers increase supply to meet that demand (at a higher price)

Don Jr.'s Lawyer said:
“In my view, this is much ado about nothing. During this busy period, Robert Goldstone contacted Don Jr. in an email and suggested that people had information concerning alleged wrongdoing by Democratic Party front-runner, Hillary Clinton, in her dealings with Russia,” he told The Times in an email on Monday. “Don Jr.’s takeaway from this communication was that someone had information potentially helpful to the campaign and it was coming from someone he knew. Don Jr. had no knowledge as to what specific information, if any, would be discussed.”

:wenger:

I know he was put in a difficult position but feck me...that's really the best he could come up with?! Admitting a significant ethical and possibly legal violation? Come on...

 It's priceless. Go and check out some of the interviews he gave, especially the Fox ones. It's not funny in a way because everyone has now jumped on the "collision isn't illegal" train, as if that makes it all ok. It's truly bizarre how yet again the party that shouts loudest about ethics and honesty etc, is the party that continuously shows itself to have no moral or ethical code whatsoever. Personally, I can't see how they can explain this away as they have openly admitted to breaking the law and imho it's almost treasonous actions. Mueller and co surely cannot ignore all this?

Did anyone just watch that cnut on MSNBC go up against Evan McMullin. These people are permeated through this filthy administration. A shame and a disgrace.

He hasn't even nominated that many ffs.

According to WaPo, of 564 positions that require senate approvals, there are 384 for which Trump has not nominated anybody.

This is without even getting into the fact that blaming a minority party for obstructionism when you can confirm your nominees without any of that parties votes makes no sense.
