That has been our Achilles' heel since 2010. It's a real problem!
On the eve of the 2010, 2014 and 2016 elections, more respondents in the Gallup poll identified themselves as democrats than as republicans. And yet, we lost all three elections decisively. Sure, some democrats voted for Trump, but there was no Trump in 2010 and 2014.
The House is lost, the Senate is gone, the WH in GOP hands and the Supreme Court will be conservative for at least one generation... because they "can't trust Hillary Clinton"!
I'm hoping the universe remembers its sense of irony and when the next SC pick goes through it's the Dems using their 51 seat advantage.

There has been a lot of political demonstrations since Trump won the election. The hate for him may be enough to get liberals to vote in 2018.

I'm sure it will be but will the Dems have a candidate they can galvanize around ? At the moment they are in a food fight between establishment and progressive. They need a new candidate to emerge who can unite both factions for 2020.
The GOP got a reduced majority in the House and Senate in 2016, and won the WH on the EC (or 70k votes in the Midwest combined). That was not 'decisive'.
I understand the frustration. But this is deep down more than just apathy from voters. Liberals are increasingly becoming distant from the Democratic Party and the party must undergo a reinvention process to represent their constituents. The New Deal coalition is dead, its last remnants gone and this new coalition of minorities, urban youths and coastal population centers need time before their strength can be reflected in the electoral process.

What's this about Comey's confidant leaking that Trump aide is saying him and Trump are going to jail because foreign ministries and foreign intelligence are sharing bank statements and other intel with Mueller? Is it the equivalent of some Marca journo tweeting that Messi is coming to United?

There is a strand percolating in the back country of twitter that there is intelligence suggesting Trump has some serious negative intelligence about him in the IC.
It does seem plausible that intelligence agencies in other countries are sharing intel with the likes of Mueller to be fair, but I guess it's a fair old leap from that to 'Trump is going to jail'.
Although its hard to think Trump as President, doesn't also have access to the same information, which would conceivably allow him to squash it. Let's see what happens.

Has the NYT officially retracted their stories accusing Assad of the Al Ghouta attack? They removed it from their list of war-crimes, so they have admitted they were wrong, but I've yet to see them actually post a story officially retracting it.
Meanwhile, die welt is reporting that US intelligence knew Assad didn't carry out the April attack now too. Funny how that works.

Solid points. I really feel for the guy. Good that people like him stand up and fight.

There are so many videos like that about I honestly can't remember if I have seen that one before, but I am sure I would have remembered the slamming on point attacks against the giant orange buffoon. It's a fecking disgrace that the so called leading country of the free world has a for profit healthcare system. It's disgusting. What is worse still though is that half the population have been brainwashed against any form of social healthcare or anything that would actually help them. I do not know when and where it started, but whoever filled these numbskulls heads with the BS that helping other people is not selfish but the American way, well that person has an awful lot to answer for.
I find the argument that they (the USA) are NOT Europe a very sad one. What's wrong with helping each other? What's wrong with Government help rather than Government taking it all and giving nothing back? So the Police and military are ok? But socialised Doctors and GP's are not? So the bin-men are fine? But surgeons are not? It's insane! I swear most Americans must think that Europeans do feck all except scrounge off the government all day long. Surely they would see differently in this day and age? I just don't get it, I really don't.

The American problem is insane. It should be possible to run on a single issue in an american election, as an independent, and win. If one candidate came out and spoke to everyone that needs healthcare, made them aware of what they were offerring, they should walk into the whitehouse. The fact that thats not happening is ridiculous.
I think someone previously posted a similar video of him in this thread a while ago.
He spoke incredibly in articulating his views.
Fingers crossed, but i am not sure the GOP is gonna accept it. They need to keep Trump in power to accomplish some of their goals.
