Though I do fully agree with the sentiment about the oddity of the conservative Christian bulwark of supporters defending a leader completely bereft of morals. It's actually one of the most disturbing things in US politics once you follow it to its logical conclusions.
But the hardcore Trump supporters will be reading that there's alot of opposition to this bill, so if they agreed with the bill then they would make the effort to call to say they support this healthcare bill.
They probably think its some sort of conspiracy by the left/Soros who are paying protesters to make these calls.

Yes, but it also says that what Toensing filed was only a request. Investigators will have checked the request and came to the conclusion that an investigation is warranted, so there must be something there apart from subjective feelings against Sanders.

That's the way I see it too, mate. I noticed who was behind it all and guessed there was some kind of ulterior motive. Tit for tat gets nobody anywhere and as Michelle Obama rightly said, "when they go low, we go high" The trouble with that is you have to be smart and patient and recently the Democrats have been reeking of desperation and have sunk to some pretty low depths. As a collective the Democrats need to get on the same page with the same message and instead of attacking Trump they should concentrate on getting their message out, especially on healthcare. Bernie is one of the only ones who can rightly hold his head up high in that respect, I just hope there is nothing to this aside from maybe some lost or poorly filed paperwork.
Attacking Trump is futile, he does enough damage to himself so just let him be, let him feck up and get himself in trouble because not only is he stupid he is also way out of his depth. Stop giving him the attention he so craves and desires and concentrate on the important issues of saving as much of Obama's legacy as possible and improving on where he failed. Seriously, Trump is a moron, he will nail his own coffin shut if he is given half the chance. The sooner the Dems wise up to this the better for everyone.
