Hearn is a bit OTT with that though, I can see Wilder's point of view.

Hearn said Wilder can't get in the ring after the fight to promote it, he's just got to stand there really. Wilder then decided not to come cos it's a waste of time doing that and then Hearn has said he never said that and it's the boxing board who decide (which is a lie...Wlad got in the ring with AJ before their fight.) I think it was just Hearn talking bollocks which he is capable of doing, I don't know if Wilder will be there but he has been stitched up a bit.

Hearn is in a great position though. I'm sure he wanted Wilder there to set up potentially 2 fights. He'd of tried setting up Whyte vs. Wilder and then either Wilder vs. AJ or Whyte vs. AJ II. 2 of them fighters he promotes so he's quids in twice there really. He's twisted it to make Wilder look an idiot as well now fair play to him for doing that I suppose.
I think he is right. Remember Joshua-Wlad was already signed so they could do that.

I think Wilder is running with the "everybody's ducking me" angle especially using Joshua' name to piggyback and draw attention to himself. Not sure if he's dead set on having that fight next. I think both sides know it will happen but Hearn is just trying to show them who's boss and put Wilder in a position where he accepts the fight wherever Hearn wants it and with no concessions given on the contract.

He may well be right in fairness but he was originally saying him and Joshua wouldn’t let him in ring then changed his tune and said it was the board so he’s made something up along the way.

Hearn was right that most the media would want to interview Wilder and that it’s free promotion but so is letting him in the ring and they’re not doing that. It seems odd to me and it seems obvious it’s cos hearn wants to control the narrative of who fights who next.

I think both wilder and AJ have no problems fighting each other, I think they’re both game. I just think Hearn has a plan that suits him more. Whyte is there Saturday...if Wilder was there I still think they’d of tried making that the fight next as it suits Hearn.

J don’t mind Hearn matchmaking to be honest it is his job. I just don’t like this narrative any time a fighter disagrees with him he has his propaganda news in IFL TV And Sky and can run to them with his side of the argument get massive views whilst the other person has no comeback.

When Fury got in the ring with wilder it was a bit silly but still entertaining, same could happen Saturday but Hearn doesn’t want it cod the minute the 2 face off no one is bothered about Whyte vs Wilder anymore.

Saw an interview where AJ said he doesn't mind Wilder getting in the ring, but he'd decide after the match as otherwise its disrespectful to assume he's defo going to beat Parker. That + Hearn wanting Whyte to fight Wilder first probably put Wilder off a bit. Either way bit of a shame neither fit is getting exposure as would love to see Wilder fight one of those two next.

Excited about Saturday night though. Going to be the first PPV I actually pay for lol (used to stream). One question to anyone who knows, what's with the huge price disparity between the UK and USA for PPVs? For the Mayweather Pac/Mcgregor fights the PPV in the US was $99, whereas £20 is the standard here. If they can big up Wilder properly and let that fight brew in the US, could be a huge pay day for Wilder and whoever's involved in the fight given that US PPV buys are worth x3 UK ones.

Yeah I've also wondered this? How can they get away with such extortionate PPVs over there? I'm watching this fight at a bar in town, I don't think I could justify paying even £20 for it.

Does anyone know if this is possible - I have BT youview box is there a way that I can order the Joshua Parker fight through Sky Sports Box Office on this platform ? Cheers

The fight isn’t going to be too popular outside the UK, you’ll find a perfect river somewhere and save money

feck me Sky digging up Gascoigne to bum up Joshua, why?

Its part of the reason I have no time for Joshua, so many folks hanging out his arse its just feckin gringeworthy.

The overall model is different. We pay more for the subscription here in the UK.

Yeah I have to say I'm getting a bit like this also. I want him to win tomorrow; but this act he puts on for everyone seems so false to me. I mean I know they all do it, but give me a Fury interview over this boring sheep.

So he does better interviews? That’s how you judge how much you like your boxers?

Fury is one of the most boring fighters of all time. Joshua is wild, takes risks & makes fights enjoyable to watch.

Give me the entertaining fighter over the mental pikey interviews all day.

Like I said I want him to win, he's British and it would sort of mess up the division were he to lose. I don't solely judge fighters on their interviews clearly; but yeah their charisma and having a bit of a personality will help win me over; Joshua is a robot and false and I can't get behind him as much as a lot of people do.
If you think Fury is boring to watch that's fair; but watching him pick apart Klit in Germany was nothing short of a boxing masterclass and to to me more of an accomplishment than what Joshua has achieved to date.

Aj will win this inside 2 rounds but he really could do with being taken 12 and losing a split decision.

It comes with the territory, but so many people share this this real desperation to see Joshua fail. I get it, kind of (I have a very real irrational dislike of Lewis Hamilton on the basis that, from his voice to his earrings to him paying no tax, he just seems like a tit), but Joshua is canny, exciting to watch and prepared to fight anyone at any time. You can't knock his will to win - and he does it without being a total clown in the build up to fights.

Hard to see anything other than a Joshua win between rounds 7-10.

Don't really see how Parker has much of a chance here tbh.

You’re keeping him in there for a while for someone who doesn’t have a chance.

Joshua is going to completely and utterly obliterate him in the first few rounds.

I think Parker's being slightly underrated by some. I do expect Joshua to win, but wouldn't be surprised by an upset tomorrow night.

A one sided fight doesn't always mean early stoppage though. I expect Joshua will take his time but totally dominate Parker without necessarily trying to land massive shots. When Parker opens up a bit more to chase the fight I expect that's when he'll start to get hit with big shots.

Honestly I feel he's being overrated by most to try and hype the fight. His last three fights were all decisions against relative nobodies; 2/3 of them mixed decisions too. I don't think he stands a chance. Think he'll be outfought convincingly and Joshua will stop him when he wants.

Re: AJ - I just think his boring personality plays a part. Boxing is at a pretty low point for the neutral with a lack of charismatic figures - and the figurehead for the Heavyweight division is a big lad from Watford who's pretty humble and ordinary. Or it's an act. Depends on who you believe.

Don't think we'll see him fight Wilder either. Not until Hearn has managed to force a Whyte/Wilder bout.

One can only hope for a similar scenario with breidis Prescott and Amir khan.

Joshua needs to experience a loss, he needs something to learn from instead of all the fawning over him. He’ll never be as good as he can without that realization that he isn’t invincible.

Well no, we aren’t allowed to. We can play for bragging rights.

Joshua ko before the end of round 2.

What say you?
I say that Parker has never been on the canvas in 24 fights. In fact, other than fatigue vs Takam, I don't really recall him even being buzzed. I don't think he has realised his early potential, but he has fast hands, good movement, and a quality chin.

I fancy Joshua to win, but it will be late (maybe even points). I'm not seeing an early blow out at all. This isn't someone like Molina.

I would wager heavily that he hits the canvas at least once in this fight. I don’t think Joshua is anywhere near the finished article but he’s going to connect and Parker will hit the deck.

I maintain this fight will not be over in two rounds in AJ's favour. You are underestimating Parker, in my opinion. This isn't some fat bum turning up for a pay day. It's two in shape undefeated belt holders. I suppose the occasion could get to Parker (he's never fought in front of a crowd remotely comparable to this one), but I doubt it.

I don’t think I’m underestimating him, I’m a huge fan of the sport and do like him, have watched most of his recent fights (a lot of highlights too)

Joshua won’t lose much of his power and will throw quicker combinations than normal due to his lighter frame. This is by far and away Parker’s biggest test and like you say, maybe the occasion gets to him.

Ideally, we get a classic like the klitschko
Fight.

I totally get that. But before that he did look promising. Definitely not on AJ's level, but not unable to cause him trouble.

There's all this talk about Parker's elbows. They've been an issue for the last few years, apparently he's had an operation on both and feels 100%. Or so he says.

Out of all AJ's opponents where do people rank Parker?
I have him 3rd behind Klitchko and Whyte.

I agree. As long as they aren't pricks outside the ring I really only form my views and who I enjoy and get behind based on what they do in the ring.
