Yep - if true then I completely agree.
It's like theyre starting to give up on GTA and start putting their resources into their next big project. Still has a ton of playability tbh. I need to do another long haul soon.
Was hoping for a casino seeing as I have a new headset coming as I wanted to abuse some blackjack dealers but alas, it was not to be.
So will this mark the end of the Duffy Tannoy???
I think they are preparing a big DLC - for both SP and Online. They are still generating a lot of revenue from Shark Card sales - so I don't think they are going to give up on it anytime soon.
Also, it is not that long since they announced they were abandoning last gen. The updates since then have been more extensive than they were previously, so think they still have plenty more gas in the tank.
Quite possibly, see how the quality is when it gets delivered on Saturday.
There's a chance they'll move to a MMO style setup, maybe? GTA 6 being a new story campaign and an expansion for the current GTA Online with 6's locations, characters and such, rather than replaced.

NEW INCH BY INCH ADVERSARY MODE COMING NEXT WEEK TUES APRIL 12
Prepare to fight tooth and nail for every scrap of progress in Inch By Inch - a new GTA Online Adversary Mode launching this coming Tuesday April 12th, that sees you competing for possession of a Package and clawing your way through a hail of bullets to reach your team's end zone. After each score, the action immediately resets - ensuring a frenetic and desperate battle of wits and skill. The player carrying the package cannot use their weapons, so tenacity and teamwork are required to advance towards the goal line. A burst of speed will help them make some ground, but only a constant barrage of support from their back-up will ensure their hard earned point.
EVENT BONUSES
In honor of the upcoming Inch by Inch Adversary Mode release, starting today we are offering double GTA$ & RP on a rotating Playlist of Adversary Modes that lasts all week long, which will include Inch By Inch when it launches on Tuesday. But hopefully this marks the end of the Lowriders / Benny updates that have been stretched out over the past couple of months. They need to get away from only releasing one car per week.
I hope the next update is more substantial - I think they need to freshen things up to entice players back.
