Think he'll eventually line up like this

Onana

Yoro
De Ligt ------------------- Martinez

Mainoo ------- Ugarte
Dalot ------------------------------------------------------- Shaw

Bruno -------------- Garnacho

Højlund

so reading up on his tactics and ideas, are we looking at something like this?

-----------------------Onana

-----------Yoro----De Ligt-----Martinez

Mazraoui---------------------------------------Dalot
----------------Ugarte---------Mainoo

------Fernandes--------------------Garnacho

----------------------Hojlund

Thoughts?
That looks awful to be honest

Not if the tactics actually work. People just don't understand how football works.
I'm well aware in how football and tactics can aid in the creation of chances, but if you're relying on Garnacho/Bruno to be reliable outlets for goals at this point we probably have enough evidence that it's going to be extremely hit or miss in front of goal. Ideally that team would facilitate Hojlund far more though I guess.

It wouldn't be the dream scenario for us, I'd say.
Cmon we sold Ronaldo, Nani and even Bruno (when in form and I believe Amorim would get him back to first season form) to you, we need this.

Sorry bout Rojo though.

He's coming from a significantly weaker league, like ETH did. That's my worry, but all we can do is hope!
His achievements are more impressive also. Sporting was far away from Benfica and Porto when he took over and has never been as big as this two.

Not the biggest Amorim fan, because of is back 3, but he is by far the greatest Sporting manager in the last 50 years. He completely change the club and won 2 Leagues in 4 years, after being 19 years without winning it. Lets see how he adapts is style to the Premier League.

Would rather play Mount instead of Garnacho. I think Garnacho isn't suited to this system at all

Can also see the Alphonso Davies links really picking up steam if this happens

I hope he is ‘an answer’ to our failings as a club but we all know how this dance usually ends. If he can guarantee us a top 6 finish, that would be a remarkable result.

So, last rwo years we were buying players for him. He plays with 2 no10 (Mount), with 3 defenders (we have 6), wuth wing backs (Maz) and mudfield destroyer (Ugarte).

We only fecked up with selling shot stopper.

Seems accurate. I think he would give a chance to slabhead too. Sebastian Coates turned into an incredible player (to our standards) with him.

United has been my second team for more than two decades. I can't believe that I'll have to become a hater. We will go back to being shite if you take him *crying emoji
Sorry for you, sincerely.

You’re doing so well and we’re likely to destroy that.

Very quick but also probably been worked on for weeks, and took time to negotiate hence why they didn’t sack Ten Hag during the last international break. After Tuchel he was my second choice so I hope this will work out. We have got to see an identity with the first 3 months and more intense forward play.

For those wondering, yes he can speak English.

Are Portuguese people just inherently good at speaking different languages? Between him, Bruno, Ronnie, the guy who owned a bar that idolised Luis Figo in the Algarve and sold cocktails to underage Scottish teenagers, the drunk taxi driver that almost got us all killed. All of them speak perfectly good English.

Amorin plays with 3 at the back. You haven't the wing backs for his system. I can see Dalot, Mazhouri and Shaw (if fit) only as full backs in a 4 defensive line.

Easy to understand and easier on the ear compared to th. Sometimes he said stuff that was hard to comprehend and maybe a language problem. Doesn’t seem that with Amorim

Yep. He's been the best manager in my lifetime. A joy to watch Sporting.

Oh well, if he is to leave I prefer it's to United.

He's got hair!

He is the one.
So we are going for our own Lego Pep rather than the bald Pep? Eh. But he's coming to United. The stress of the job will make him lose his hair anyways. And then we will have our own bald Pep.
